how did you fix the glitching, is that a stock engine ??
Had to run a 4.8v 4c 1000 mah nickel metal hydrate battery for the cdi and 2s 3000 mah 7.4v lipo regulated to 4.8v for the fbl gyro.

when i ran everything off the lipo pack the cdi draws to much current i guess, and would cause glitches and brown outs

when i saw the thr servo pulsing each time the piston passed the spark plug
and also the cdi manual recommends a separate 4.8 rx pack for the cdi.

i just figured a regulated lipo pack would be enough

but due to the pulsing each time the piston passes the spark plug the fbl gyro was picking it up , the cdi drew so much current the gyro shut off and back on just by trying to crank it up, when that happened that's when i heard the cdi manual in the back of my head/separate 4.8v rx pack

i think its not a stock motor.

There are many classes/types of NiMh batteries, some can deliver higher currents then others without dropping too much voltage. You may find that your 4.8V NiMh pack does not have a good enough current capacity to properly operate the CDI either.

If you want to do it the best way, use a 3S/3000 to 4000mah lipo and a good regulator that can handle a constant 5 amp current to power the CDI unit.

if you are planning to use a NiMh pack, then be sure it is the type that can handle high current draws, you can usually tell this type because they will allow charges of higher current then the overnight charge rates of most others.Also I would recommend that you use one that is at least of 2400mah capacity, as you will find each flight will draw about 450 to 500mah.

You did not say what voltage NiMh pack you got. Is it. A 4.8/2000 four cell pack or a 5 cell/2000 pack.

Is it a low Internal resistant pack (can it be fast charged or only charged at 10C?)

the cdi pack is a 2000mah 4s nimh 4.8 v and the gyro pack is LiFe pack

I hope you mean 3000mah and not 300mah... but yeah a 2S/3000mah will work perfect for the CDI.

I use a 3S/2200mah and can get 3-4 flights out of it.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Servo bouncing near spark plug wire solved for me
Hello out there. I just thought I would chime in on this issue because it happened on my throttle servo in my Radikal G30 V2. Turns out analog servos will not work. As My engine revved up the servo would move all on its own. Very dangerous..The minute I installed s digital servo for my throttle. The problem ... Disappeared. Throttle works great now. Digital servos run on a higher frequency and are not affected by the pulses of the spark plug wire .. Go figure.. Happy flying
