link question
I am having a heck of a time trying to thread the ball links on the rods on an E7. The links just spin dont bite into the plastic ball end no matter how hard i push when turning. Even tried reverse threading to see if the were reverse thread....nope. what the trick to these links?

Use an xacto knife (#11 blade) and cut a small chamfer, a start point "V" for the threads.Team Miniature Aircraft

Can you measure with a set of calipers the rod diameter. The links are molded for a 2.5MM thread. That is going to tell us immediately if the rod size is correct. If it is the rod, then have spares that I will give you.

I will help you through this issue. I am more than happy to sell you a FBL product, but as a Synergy dealer I would look at this to make sure the OEM part is ok.

I am currently on a business trip and left you a pm to call me.

You will be up and running soon.

This is my first Synergy heli build and was all in bags so its the rods that came in the bag with the links. The threads dont seem to be cut very deep into the rods. But being my first E7 I wasnt sure if it was supposed to be like that or not. I am sure that is why they wont bite into the plastic and thread in. I did try other rods i have and the did thread in just fine but not the proper length.

Thanks Ralph I will call you . Got the pm .

I think I still have the stock rods on my E7SE, but have FBL links on my N7 and N7 Turbine, I like how easy they are to adjust. I also have installed the head dampener kit on my turbine and it works great. I will probably put them on the other two this winter.Team Synergy, Team Scorpion, No good deed goes unpunished

link problem solved. Ralph sent me a set of titanium turnbuckles and balls. And wouldnt let me pay for them. Thanks again Ralph ,the support from you and FBL Rotors is first class.
Installed them and the heli set up came out perfectly. Saw the FBL Rotors battery tray set up on Jeffs E7......had to have that setup so I ordered one. bk tail servo is on the way. need to get a bec and its ready for its maiden flight.

Well Art, it looks like I'll miss the maiden flight, work has me busy for a while now. I will see it fly when I get back.

Have fun and keep it out of the tall grass down there.
