Anyone noticed the Evo .50 head block not running true?
I have 6 Evo .50 and checked all but two and the head blocks do not run true at the very tip, this is with nothing attached to it, just the main shaft and head block. I have been chasing small vibes for yrs in these mechanics and noticed it today, and yes I'm talking brand new main shafts and brand new head blocks, these are not crashed mechanics either. I snug the bolt up and leave it like that but today I noticed a wobble when I was testing these mechanics to go into a Huges 500 fuselage. So I thought I had the bolt to loose so I gave it a crank and it got worse, so is this a problem that I have missed all these yrs flying Hirobo??? What is a fix if there is one.?

Where exactly are you measuring the runout?
Part 107.
The only ZERO flight hour certificate in the world.
It's like getting a driver's license without the driver's test.

I'm measuring at the very top of the head block just above the hole for the spindle to pass through, and when looking down from the top, a birdseye view I guess, you can actually see the aluminum head block wobble very slightly, take it back off and then run it up and the main shaft is perfect, bolt the head block on and tighten it down and you can see the wobble, I tried four different new head blocks and switched out the main shafts to make sure everything was new and no luck. I have been chasing this small vibe for yrs in my fuselages and might have finally found what I was looking for unless someone can explain to me what I'm seeing here?? How can I possibly fix this if it is a problem??

Also you guys might be wondering how I run them up, well they are all converted to electric so it makes it very easy to run them up in my shop with tail blades off......D

I will try to get a picture sometime this week.
