got the CC Pro... and got to thinking about it. Maybe running a 2s RX pack instead??? Other than the weight and another pack to charge, what are the pros and cons???
BEC pros:
  • Just plug and fly, repeat. You never have to think about an RX pack.
  • No extra battery to charge.
  • No chance of the battery voltage being too low and crashing. The RX Voltage will always be the same from the start of the flight to the end of the flight, every flight.
  • A lighter heli.
HOWEVER, I recommend only connecting the Castle BEC Pro to a 6s battery pack, not 12s! If your heli has a 12s setup, this is still possible with the following wiring diagram. I've used this configuration since 2010.
