I prefer the jr n bk servos. Jr makes the best servos n once upon a time the 8717 was the onlyHV 7.4v servo out there

I used to think Align servos were good, but they're not. They get you in the air, but they develop slop fast. If you're new to flying you won't notice, but as you develop they will impede your progress and throw off your timing.

Please clarify which Align Servo ... I assume you are referring to the DS615M and DS655M?

It depends on your setup, they can induce vibration, thus accelerate wear. The DS610M / Savox 1258T have titanium gears, worked well for me. Helps to grease the drive train every 300 flight. Unfortunately anything metal on metal will wear faster than nylon/composite gears. And we can't use nylon for cyclics .... Except for rudder.
