M Blades in the UK
Does anyone know what are the latest rules with respect to M Blades in the UK :
1) do you need to register these with the BMFA
2) do they need annual inspection and who does that ?

Thanks

Hi Fredd,

Nothing has changed since we got them accepted some years ago.

Yes, you need to register them with Manny Williamson at the BMFA and annual inspections are required for continuous usage.
Getting them checked is not an issue and it can be arranged to suit users as required.

There are not that many "registered" users and the sales of M-Blades has been slow but constant.
I personally use them on most of my turbine machines and have no problems keeping the paperwork up to date.

Hi Fredd

As Nigel said register with the BMFA and once they are a year old then they can be inspected by either Denis Stretton or myself.
You can contact me here nick@redlodgehelicopters.co.uk

This is all new to me, I still thought metal blades on a model helicopter was a no no in the U.K. Im off to read my B.M.F.A handbook again! If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!
