Hi Guys,

I have converted my Hirobo Dauphin to electric but need some advice, guidance, choosing a FBL controller for it. I have the 4-blade head and would like to have a recommendation for a FBL controller for it. I know the IKONs are nice and some have recommended the V-Bars, but which one as there are dozens ? Is the Silverline the newest ? are any easier to setup than the others ? I just dont know which way to turn with all the choices. I am going to run it on 2 x 5S 4000 pks with a 500KV motor from Hyperion using a CC Edge 120HV esc.

Since I just had my second neck surgery modeling is really tough and I may just end up selling the model as soon as I get the battery trays completed this week. Feel free to call me or pm to discuss.

not much use but
Hi Joe

I have used V bar
Always flown well.

Align seem to do quite a good one too...

As with any FBL setup, take your time and set it up well, it will reap less surprises in the future.

Good luck my friend

After scale everything else is a toy!

Have you looked at the HeliCommand/Bavarian Demon Rigid V.2 at all?

The HC/BD system has been around for better part of 15-20 yrs and I know of several bigger names in the scale game that has used them in the past with xcellent results.

And far as customer service I seriously doubt there is better support than these guys.

I was having a problem setting a heli up about the same time Orlando Heli Blast was ending. Dan Melnick (Demon Aero USA) & Joachim Eulefeld (Demo Areo Germany) drove the 90-100miles to my house from Orlando and had it set up in 30 minutes

Now that is customer support

HTH's and best wishes on a speedy recovery!
Best Regards, Scott

There are many good and reliable units out there. Each would praise his unit as the best. But it all depends on what you really need... The HC 3D guys prefer the rescue function as they fly their maneuvers this can save their helicopter. Sport guys (and most nivices) prefer selfleveling of some sort as this gives some reliance and increases enjoyment to some.

Scale people look at different functions. Do you use three or four servos on swash? Does your head have mechanical phasing built in the design or do you have to use electronic phasing? There are a couple of units that enable both electronic phasing and four servos on swash. Depends what you need and want. And most of all it depends on your budget.
