"The Great Lie"

One right after the other all throughout his reign. There ain't no other quite like this guy.

That is his legacy. And, the legacy of the progressive left.

Liberty once lost, is lost forever.

This country is conservative in nature. It was founded on Christianity, and still is. No, you wouldn't believe it by listening to the nightly news, the never-ending Hollywood and libtard 'news' stations constantly telling us different.
From the 1st amendment to the US Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Give to us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for - because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.

Peter Marshall

I stand by my beliefs and always will. The SCOTUS played God yesterday. MOF, they over-rode the scriptures teachings. Please explain to me how they have the power to do that.

They do not. So what is next?

Again, the line has been crossed and we cannot turn back now.

Do any of you find it ironic that this decision was forced because so many states passed laws banning same sex marriage?

The question before the Supreme Court was not to allow same sex marriage, it was to decide if the laws banning it were Constitutional.

If those laws didn't exist, this decision would have been years, if not decades from now?

Cave Quid Optes.

I find it ironic that the Constitution is a big deal on this issue but overlooked with respect to guns. If I drive through NY with my gun in my trunk, unloaded, I become a criminal. How is that remotely Constitutional?

And I find it ironic that the SC is changing language in the health care law, writing law from the bench.

I've said it before I'll say it again, I don't give to horse poops about gay marriage. It's Constitutional...except for the part about a tax break. But that's been a problem for longer than this gay issue.

But the biggest issue I have is - THE CONSTITUTION. We can't pick and choose to follow it based on liberal agenda. WE ALL FOLLOW IT ALL REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT IT. It's the law of the land. Except it's not. The liberals pick a choose and their activist SC legislates from the bench which is an abuse of separation of powers. They should have sent it back to the house to have the parts in question rewritten.

So let me ask all of you constitutional scholars here: What do you think our Constitution, our Laws, our Principals / Morals and our Oaths of Office were based off of?

And I will say it again: Our tax laws are WRONG. The entire IRS needs to be disbanded and completely redone.

But doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.

In fairness, it wasn't based on Christianity. It specifically states such in the First Amendment. It's a secular document. The founders were a mix of Christians and deists.

But before you rage. There's one other thing to consider.

The Republic was set up for a responsible, independent, moral populace. All of the rights given were given with the intent of freeing men who could write their own ticket. The rights were given so that responsible men could pursue their own happiness without government in the way. It was setup to give a moral populace the means to have self determinant lives.

That populace has changed to one of entitlement, social theft, and lack of morals. The rights no longer work because they are being abused. The Westboro Baptist Church, swearing on TV, etc. were NEVER intended to be the point of the First Amendment. So now the abuse has people questioning the intent and scope of that Amendment. The second Amendment was NEVER intended to allow kids to shoot up schools and churches. So now people are questioning the scope and intent of the Second Amendment.

A similar argument could probably be made for every Amendment. And therein lies the problem. These freedoms were granted to a responsible populace who fought and died for them. But they were handed to an irresponsible progeny who hasn't shed a drop for them.

Because of this, our freedoms are waning. And no one is doing anything about it. We aren't holding people responsible for abusing their rights to the extent we need to. And we aren't giving anything to secure the freedoms.

We're giving them away.

And that's what happens when rights are handed to you but you never fought for them. Us few that swear the oath understand what's on the line. But very few do. They didn't fight for them so they won't fight to keep them. Sad but true.

In short. No. It's not a Judeo-Christian law system. HOWEVER, without some form of morality, the rights simply won't work. It'll continue to decline so long as we are not a moral people.

Aaron, not going to rage dude. I'm over it. Actually, you and I don't disagree a great deal, but enough I guess.

Bottom line for me and my family is this: Marriage is between a Man and a Woman. There can be no other way which is taught from the Scriptures. No man, no court, no priest (holy man) can state otherwise.

With that said, I also HATE, HATE, HATE our tax system and the IRS. Did I mention HATE?

I do not make law, nor should I ever be allowed to do so. But, I would grant those that live together (same sex/opposite sex) for 2 years or more, consistently, and can prove it, the same tax standards as a lawfully wedded couple. Civil union I believe they call it, and for me that is even stretching it.

Regardless, I will never recognized same sex marriages. And I am sure I will suffer because of it. Doesn't mater.

I wouldn't worry about tax law. The system is unsustainable and will crash.

I would worry about how you are going to raise children/grandchildren who will be able to survive in an immoral society at best, and a collapse of society at worst. We've probably less than a few generations until this place becomes the New Rome with the fickle and dangerous mob. Maybe sooner.

I borrowed this from a friend on another forum:

History just repeating itself....

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

To those who feel this/these rulings do not affect them or have the no f@cks givin mindset,

Just insert different groups now, religious, conservative, constitutionalists, etc...

This country will change without a finger being lifted, just like Rome in its last days..

fix the taxation problem with the Fair Tax. You are taxed on what you buy, not on what you earn. The only problem is, you'd have to have a constitutional amendment that you can't have a sales tax and an income tax.
What's more, t encourages people to invest, rather than spend.
What's more, if people would get sick enough of the tax structure, we should just quit paying taxes until they fix it.
They can't jail us all.
It's called a revolution and we're due.

Yeah the UK/Eurozone pushed for this and ended up with a VAT ON TOP of the other taxing. Yay!

We can start by getting rid of printing money and go to a commodity or value-backed currency.

All fiat currencies fail. All throughout history.
