Is gay marriage now more important than religious freedom to disagree?

No doubt SCOTUS will be addressing that issue as well as gay activists enter our churches and try to destroy them with the force of law.

You got to know its coming and it will not be pretty.

distract distract distract.
Now they get to feel all the wondrous joys of divorce.
Supposedly written into the majority statement, is the ability to NOT marry gays if they object to it on a religious basis.
You know they'll test that part of the ruling... most likely before the end of the day.

Down the drain we as a country are headed. I believe it is unstoppable now. I once believed we would recover, but I fear we will not.

I feel more about my two little girls futures. And not in a good way.

Will this nightmare ever end? Apparently not.

People voting for Obama didn't make mistakes for he never campaign on the ACA.)
people vote because they want to be counted. If you don't vote then you dont count,
no matter who you shoot for.

the problem is the opposition, they can't just exempt themselves on a negotiations that the outcome is going to be the law of the land.

This is why the law is here to stay.

That's part of the plan. The liberals' master plan is to destroy the USA. Families, churches, individual freedoms are just the start.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

Yeap, you preach it brother. Make more believe your vomit and the sooner this country will cease to exist as it once was. Just ask the Greeks and Romans...we are headed exactly that route.

You have every right to spew filth from you mouth. I gave 21 years of my life so you could/can do so. Carry on.

Think it was said best here.
Isaiah 5:20 "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."

I believe we will start seeing even more prophecy of the word come to light as these type of events progress. What is funny and sad is that all through the Bible we have seen nations turn away from God and then be subjugated to their enemies. It is the arrogance of this nation's people in thinking that they won't be.

OK, if the government can't define marriage, perhaps it shouldn't be offering tax breaks for marriage.

I mean seriously. I'm single. We single folks pay higher tax burden per capita than married folks, because the government recognizes marriage.

Why?

What if I want to marry my pillow to receive a tax break? No? I can't? Why are you so bigoted as to define marriage as between two human beings? I want a tax break for marrying my pillow.

I think tax breaks for married couples were intended to help relieve burdens on families. Well. A homosexual couple does not produce offspring. So why are they any more deserving of a tax break than me, who is single? We both produce the same when it comes to offspring.

Someone will say "oh but they can adopt." OK. So can I. And when they do, they can file a dependent.

Then someone else will say "oh but old couples can't produce children and they get a tax break."

Hmm. And therein lies the rub. The answer is this. If you HAVE DEPENDENTS, you should get a tax break. IF YOU DON'T, why is the government in the business of reducing tax burden on couples of every kind but turning a blind eye to single people?

What about equal protection under the law?

I'm marrying my pillow. Taking it to the Justice of the Peace. I want them to tell me the definition of marriage right there in the hall so I can call them a bigot for limiting the definition of marriage.

SINGLE PEOPLE'S RIGHTS. NOW!

Aaron I will agree with you on that. Our tax system is completely hosed up and NO ONE told anyone to get married, or even reproduce, much less tax breaks. But the same holds true for those POS's that keep breeding to receive welfare and crap.

Regardless, how old are you? 19, 20? If that?

Speaking for myself, and as a single issue, I don't think it will by itself.

My question would be, "is gay marriage more important than religious freedom?"

What happens to religious freedom when some brain damaged gay activist walks into a church and demands they perform a gay marriage by force of law when it's disagreed with by that church?

According to the constitution, we cannot make any laws restricting our right to religious freedom. According to that, the government cannot by the force of law make all perform a gay marriage ceremony when religious freedom says they disagree.

Will the brain damaged gay activist take that religious freedom away from those that disagree by the force of law?

You can bet its coming. That will be the next gay issue to go before SCOTUS. Count on it. It may not be pretty.

I heard the Obummer speak this morning about equality for ALL Americans. How can that be when he signs into law the mandate of ObummerCare. But, exempts himself and both houses from the same mandate. That's not equality for all. That's called tyranny.

40. But it's inconsequential to this issue.

If anything. My celibacy benefits this society as a whole. And yeah, I see your argument. I pay more taxes so Octomom gets dependent tax reductions.

So if anything, I'm being leeched upon that much more. I'm controlling my sexual urges but still paying for those who won't.

I see your point.

Yeah. The only fair tax is consistent tax.

There should be one tax rate. Period. Anything else is a violation of the 14th Amendment. Why offer special incentives to any group or behavior?

As a single celibate man, I can tell you that I'm the ONLY group that is unrecognized by my country.
