I'm not sure if this is real or edited. If it's real there will be problems going forward:

Looks like it's being reported as a hoax.

Ah I was about to say "it finally happened."

It's coming. Eventually. Unless we can get some good jammers around airfields.

yeah that looks like a hoax... the rate of speed that the jet flies at would not have allowed such a clear video shot of a octa-pod ... it would have been a blur.

Yeah, that regime of flight, probably a good 180 knots at least. That's 300 feet per second.

if they wanted to do a better job of making it look better (real)... they should have studied the construction of the winglet... those parts on the plane are made very strong so as to deal with the tip vortices, they are certainly not made from what appears to be monokote and balsa as portrayed in the video, nor would it have left a smoke trail... like I said earlier too, the multi would not have been discernible in the video due to the jets air speed and cameras standard frame rate.

at best it would have left a hand sized dent on the winglet.

good job for "B" movie goers though.

Oh no doubt there will be throes of people who think this is real.

I still have to argue about the "real" Extra 300 that lost the wing and the pilot made the landing. It was a Red Bull marketing fiasco and many people think it's real.

Facepalm.

They aren't interested in helping. They will show their video to a producer when trying to get hired on as a graphic animator. Their video is a sample of their work.

But to us, they are trolls.

The web address on the wing tip is a dead give away.

A decent fake nonetheless.

This was probably put on by the FAA to keep the fear mongering over drones and increase control over rc activities. thats how our government works now a days, fear to get what they want. The end game in my opinion of what the government/FAA wants is simply money and control. Licenses and yearly fees and penalty fees if caught, could be in the millions yearly in revenue and that's what they are after. Decades of rc flight and drones seem to be the only rc vehicle that's now a threat, give me a freakin break!
