Your going to need much more HS to lift the extra weight of the fuse and that big 3800mah pack with those skinny (Plastic?) blades!

60% of the time, it works every time!

Yes try carbons. You will loose the scale 'look' but you will get much more lift.

Might be worth considering Semi Symmetrical blades as well, you need more lift to cope with the extra weight.
Looks good though

I once had a motor where the armature(?) started slipping on the shaft. Caused exactly what you are describing.

i like you man.

this bird has a crappy hong kong motor in it ,all run the hs at 100% to see if the blades speed up the way they should.

you might be on to something .

12" is flying in "Ground Effect" - basically a cushion of air 1-rotor span deep.

I would look at the log in the Castle ECS and check the watts (power).
I would bet that the motor is not powerful enough to spin the head at the proper RPM and maintain the needed pitch

A 3S 3800kv motor just does not sound like the right motor.
Is this a 450 size? On the video, it looks closer to a 600.

One thing to think about may be to run 4S 2800mah. That will get you more "overhead" on the motor and you can run a lower throttle setting.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.

im with most others,,
by looking at the heli , it seems very unstable, like theres not enough lift ( ie ,, faster hs , and or cf blades should eliminate this and fix your problem , )

i do not think its the motor slipping on the shaft , and heres why,,
i dont think you would get off the ground,, and i dont hear no noise that even comes close to metal slipping on one another ,,and no chirping or anything, ,, but thats just my 2 cents

going pro , one crash at a time

A 3800 mah battery is almost double what is recommended.

So you've got a heavy battery and a heavy fuselage ....too much weight.

We'd need the numbers to calculate the head speed, but it sounds like it's too low... sounds like 1200 or so.
