Fuses are only to protect the wiring in an electrical system. They are not designed to protect the componets. Fuses prevent fires by protecting the wiring and the insulation(or lack of it) that causes fires. A fuse in an appliance is designed to protect the smallest wire in that appliance where by minimizing the fire hazard.

NOT protect the componets in the appliance.

Do you really want to blow a fuse in your ESC or servo when your heli is traveling at 50 mph at you or someone else
