So, I'll start worrying about parts for my G4.1s around the end of 2017.

Got it.

If things change, what can I do about it anyway?

I will keep flying mine until I can't, then I'll move on.

So far parts have not been an issue.

WOW,I must have missed this announcement last week. The one heli that has been in my fleet since 07 is my MINI Titan FB.Rock solid heli that I have thousands of flights on.small enough to have fun in smaller areas bug a larger presence in the air than a nano/mcpx.I'll have to see if they are still gonna make parts for the V1...a sad day

RC heli's are a tough business. There are a lot more competitors for the manufacturers, and prices (of kits and parts) have been driven to an all time low for a variety of reasons, which in turn makes it less/not profitable. (let's not forget that the very reason to get into the RC heli business is to make money, and when that doesn't happen the business cuts back).

As far as the environment thing, are you sure they don't mean the heli market environment?

Getting parts via the "Icy" route works well.

Too many products, too many competitors, too many "non-traditional" RC flying types (multis and such).

ICY
Thanks Don S. Hope we don't lose to many more manufacturers. I now own 2 great heli frames that are not in production any longer. Seems that our hobby punishes companies that build a truly robust design. Almost like they need to build em to break and keep our parts interest.
