Nice RCtrooper! 1300 on 600mm blades ? Seems good ,,I didn't know they would work that well down that low. Nice job!

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

thanks! yeah, anything lower than that and I think it will wobble. surprisingly it's not a bad setup on 4S.

I will upload data logger after my second flight. I did not clear the data log prior to the maiden flight and it was full from the previous owner.

So you have not changed gearing just slapped a 4s 4000mah? I would like to see your data logging for a flight like that.

I'm not a hard 3D flyer but I can do simple rolls and loops requiring lots and lots of pitch management

Here is the data log I downloaded from the esc. It has quite a bit of flights on it.

from what I can read, my average head speed is 1050, amps are in the low 20's.

Ok my 550 is using the 112tooth main and a 11tooth pinion I am going to stick a 600 boom on it and some 600mm mains. Might also order a 10tooth pinion and get to try this in he next few months. I just spent my whole years budget on a new "scale" attempt. Once I get it flying I can hopfully get some new 4s batteries and give this concept a go. Since I know it works.
One of my 6s 5000mah packs that I used on sunday has a problem... checked Voltage on each cell before take off. 4.11v-4.16v on all 6. but head speed never came up to my usual 2000rpm, I lifted off and head speed was very very low guessing in the 1200-1400 range. I hovered for about a minute head was constant, so I moved into slow forward flight, all was good it sounded bad a$$!! I continued the whole normal flight did two rolls about 10ft up lots of sagging but it always came back to the same sound (rpm) total flight was 4:30 on my timer. checked volts on 6s 3.76-3.70 across the board. Its as though the C rating on my battery is about 5 i am just loading up the castle link to see what the data log says i will report back soon with a answer.
