XG14, or the old 11X Zero?
Hi,

I'd like to change from Spektrum DX8 to JR, either XG14, or the old 11X Zero.

I see one of the advantages of the 11X Zero is the possibility to run on DSM2, so I still could use my Spectrum receivers.

What would speak for XG14?
- Are the gimbals really revolutionary as it is written? What about 11X Zero's gimbals?
- Is the X Bus digital serial data communication technology on XG14 crucial? Still can I have this on 11X Zero?
- What else?

Thanks.

depends on your flying style really...
I have both... XG14 and 11X (used to have XG11 and I miss it more than I thought)..

The gimballs are good.. but then again I can do with the ones on the 11 series...

I fly scale so no need for fast movements...
also 11 channels are enough for me...
the whole x/bus thing works well for planks... where you need more than one servo to move a single aileron... but for helicopters... 3 - 4 servos on cyclic... and one on the tail... the rest move tiny bits like lights and similar...

you do the math...

I have large hands so the 11 series fits me better... and although some would say that you do not fly the screen... the one on the 11 series is much easier to see...
