Rush stretch 800
I finally got my Rush back in the air but now as an 800 with a speed up tail modification and all new electronics. It was blowing like mad today ,but I was ready so out she went. So far all I can say is it felt good and ran smooth . I put in a quick 5 minute flight with a few circuits and some approach's and a few flips to inverted. Hard to tell what the setup will need in such a strong wind but it felt good so far. The tail is much better now with the lower rpm ,I flew at 1600 and have 1725 and 1800 setup .It appears flight time should be really good at 1600 and performance seemed good so far. Lets see some of your rigs !! take care

Well I finally had a bit of decent weather early this morning and 3 more flights on the Rush . I did lower the head gain slightly on the v bar and everything is smooth and solid now. The heli performed very well still at 1600 rpm ,tic toc's , funnels and tail down collective reversals across the sky where all effortless at 1600 . The tail seems very good so far but I shall be pushing it harder once I get a few more flights on it. The cyclic is fairly fast for a big bird at 1600 and so far I am really enjoying the stretch . 6.5 minutes on 5000s with 38% remaining !Logo 550SX / Logo 600 / Specter 700

we finally had some calmer days and I put on several more flights and got it feeling really good. Now with flying it harder and calmer conditions I have had to set the timer to 6 minute to keep the packs around the 30% plus mark but I am still very happy with that. The tail has been flawless and flight performance is really good for 1600 rpm. It loves big funnels Logo 550SX / Logo 600 / Specter 700

Now that you have had a chance to fly the stretch for a little while, have you changed anything? Or have you settled on the right combo?

Just wondering about your preferred headspeed, corresponding flight time, etc.

I sort of settled on 1650 rpm and it performed very well and I got 5 1/2 minutes on 5000 packs with 30% remaining on average . I flew it lots up until the snow just started to fall and then a fellow wanted to buy it so she has a new home. I am presently just putting the electronics into a new on that I built which is a combination of the original rush with the lower frame parts and electronics tray out of the Evo. I have bumped up the tail ratio to 4.9 also. It will be a very similar setup but with a Savox 5065-450kv for power a Spartan Vortex FBL and Rotor Tech 760FBL mains.
