Plug the Gyro gain lead into Receiver channel 7. Enable the Gyro Sense menu in AUTO mode, you will then be controlling gain using the Flight Mode switch.

In the Gyro Sense menu, you will see RATE with a "0" and "1". On the other side of the screen you see F.MODE with NORM, STNT, HOLD and a "0" beside them.

The RATE numbers can go from 0 to 100. 0 to 50 sets rate/normal mode operation. 0 = 100 % gain, 50 = 0 gain. Numbers from 50 to 100 select Heading Hold operation. 50 = 0 gain, 100 = 100% gain.

The two rate settings allow you to have two different rate settings (one associated with the "0" position, one associated with the "1" position).

Over on the right side, you get to change the number to the right of the Normal/STNT/HOLD entries to 0, or 1. If you select "0", the gain associated with RATE setting "0" gets assigned. If you select "1", the gain associate with RATE setting "1" gets assigned.

If you aren't controlling gyro gain at present, you have no idea what the setting really is.
