DX-9 Pitch Curve Expo?
Anyone using EXPO on their DX-9 Pitch Curve? I assume it softens the middle of the curve as it would with any other flight control channel. However there is no way to adjust the amount like the others.

No it does not work like a traditional expo setting. The name is misleading. It's function is to "smooth out" non linear curves. This in turn will smooth the collective output through the curve.

That is correct. Throttle and pitch expo simply smooth out the sharp corners you get between curve segments at the setpoints. Makes transitions around those points gradual instead of being abrupt. Not the usual expo you find on the flight control channels.-----

Thank you. The DX-9 Manual is pretty worthless."Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground." J. Taylor

Nope.

It's noticeable in the screen if you fly inverted using the "V" curve making it "U" shape instead.

It might be noticeable to you while transitioning from upright to inverted (and vice versa) while flying if you have a hard time finding mid stick/zero pitch.

Otherwise, useless.

Yeap...the manual I took as an "intro" to the radio. Everything else becomes intuitive.

JR uses the work EXP to mean three things. On curves it is just cheap SPLINE (-like) curves as Dave explains. Spektrum copied the designation. I always use EXP curves. And yeah, a 3 point V curve would get screwed up.
