Deal gone bad
I closed this thread and now has to reopen it as I need people's opinion. An rr member pm me that he was looking for a Radix 625mm v2 blades. I told him I have a set of like new condition blades. Without me providing the photo, he trusted my words and he bought it.

Upon the receipt of the blades, the buyer was disappointed and said that the blade has a chip at the tip and the root and said he would not use it. I thought I may have overlooked something and it was a major flaw and so I offered him the return of the blades.

Upon the receipt of the blades, I reinspected the blades and I hardly noticed the chips. I almost have to use a magnifying glass to see the flaws.

As you can see in the photos, the chip is in a fraction of 1mm, and remember that they are very close up zoom photos taken in macro mode. I know a chip is a chip, but how could I account for that macro level chips based on the fact it is a set of used blades.

I also agree you did the right thing. There is always a risk when buying used parts anywhere let alone rc parts. i for one would never buy anything without at least a pictureRobert

Yes you did the right thing. But something that is confusing, you stated a member got a hold of you and asked if you had a set of blades???? Did you have them listed for sale somewhere or was he just taking a shot in the dark??? Only reason I ask is because if you had them listed, or if I had them listed I would have stated they have a very tiny chip. Although this is of course considering you seen it originally. And if not could it have possibly developed during shipping????

But regardless you did the correct thing and for that sir. You are one stand up guy.

No, I did not have a for sale ads for the blades. The buyer saw it on my N5C TT ads and asked for it. So, I offered him that but never thought that the deal would have gone south.

The buyer was complaining why I did not disclose the chips. To be honest, I did not know the chips myself. The chips are on macro level.

Rudy, I think you did do the right thing in offering a return and refund. Not all people's opinion of like new condition is the same and I guess that is why pics should always be asked for by the buyer. It is, in reality, upon the buyer to be certain that they want what you are selling before they purchase. The buyer is fortunate to have purchased from a member like you.

Rudy, those blades are clearly damaged and unsafe, and pose a serious safety hazard. I strongly recommend that you refrain from using them, and ship them immediately to my address so that I can render them safe. I'm happy to provide you with pre-paid shipping to expedite the process and get you out of harm's way as soon as possible. I will personally see to it that they are "disposed of" properly.

Sounds like the buyer has unrealistic expectations and not much experience with blades :|
You did the right thing though however I would not have covered return shipping as the blades as well within the stated description of 'like new'.

Either way, as frustrating as it is a refund was probably the right way to go however I hope the buyer see's this thread for his own good and realises that blades in this condition are perfectly safe. I cant stand the thought of practically immaculate blades being binned by some ignoramus lol.

Reminds me of the 3D masters many years ago.
I wondered past a bin and saw a set of Radix 710 blades in there. One halved but the other immaculate... That one came home with me
Still need to find another to go with that... :|

Really
If they were new from the manufacturer, I'd return them as being used....

On the other hand, if the buyer saw them on your heli he should have obviously known that they were used, unless you advertised it as a hanger queen.

To me thats just normal wear and tear for used blades.

I agree the refund was the right thing to do on your part.

BRAVO for you.

I'd be willing to test fly them for you, if you have any concerns about their quality.

i can tell you one thing they re not crashed blades simply just a tweak as you were folding them one day and the gel coat took a bump to the grip possibly at the same time the tip hit the boom. how if this had been due to impact with the ground the damage would be worse and split the top from the bottom and the weight would be hanging out the front. the member is definitely a picky SOB , for used set of blades which could even be sold as a cosmetic blemish for 10% OFF NEW ?? oh well live and learn i keep it all till it gets filed in the circular bin and if in doubt, SEND THEM TO ME, i ll fly them and over speed the hell of of them and they hold up , that is if you are in doubt as for the picky sob, BUY NEW IN THE BOXTrex600n,Trex500,MR25,MikadoLoGo5003d/KDE,Goblin 380XNova,CastleCreations,Ys,JR XG8,Tags Mini XBus Dmss//FAA# FA3NYC9TAP
