I hope the responsible party is charged with attempt for the entire audience and punished with props tearing threw their flesh ;( these a holes are gonna ruin it for all of us responsible pilots can't wait to find sum a$$ doing sum thing like this first I tear the tx from him then beat him within a inch of death. Wtf was he thinking flying a inspire into a crowed concert venue. Do they have any idea the rf spewing from all the equipment at a venue like that ?? Unbelieveable these idiots. Only a matter of time till its mandated we register our models and affix sum kinda I'd tags to fly or own a model aircraft and also s kinda of Rx to signal lager aircraft of its gps info which could hurt our rf but once mandated we will have no choice as these idiots are forcing legislation by these stunts imagine how much damage a quad does vs a larger rotor disk. ??

Even the AMA assumes that people don't intentionally stick their fingers into a moving prop.

No one can "regulate" stupidity.

And of course it's the quad's fault

I am not a big quad proponent, but I take it that Iglesias had hired this quad to take video of the event. So why then did he stick his hand where it did not belong in the first place. This is saying that he did hire it to take video.

Am I not reading the same article???

The multi-rotor was part of the show. It was broadcasting a live picture behind the entertainer at the time. The stupid jerk singer reached out and tried to grab the aircraft and got a hand full of propeller instead.

In this specific single case, the pilot may not be at fault. As usual the pilot is responsible for everything. The thing is, he should not have been flying as close to the subject as he was. There are telephoto lenses for that.

It does not appear to be rogue anything going on and it was a DJI "Inspire" with high def lightbridge flying. Not your basic $40 quad.

I read that it was part of the show also... And also read ( somewhere ) that it's his usual practice to grab it and point the camera towards the audience.
