Hello,
After much concern about the complete lack of spares for my raptor 50's in any of the Uk shops,I was given a link to the Thunder Tiger factory.

I gave it a try, they responded straight away and have very reasonable prices and postage. (cheaper than the uk shops even with the postage )

I'm hoping that there is a longer term solution to the lack of TT spares in the shops, but in the meantime:

If you need any parts contact Thunder Tiger direct.
Email: icychen@thundertiger.com

They will get back to you very quickly.

I hope this information resolves the parts issues some your are encountering.

Regards
Gemheli

Interestingly, I contacted Icy last night for a new clutch. He responded promptly to me as well. Down side is that the X50 clutch (PV0359) that I now need is backordered - due July to August. So, I have to be patient to shelf the bird until the summer is mostly over unless I can find another. Kind of a bummer. Fortunately, I have other helis to fly for which parts are available. Hope this can be improved.

Helikraft shows stock, but when I attempted to process an order, would never get to the checkout process.

Sorry to hear that they didn't sort you out straight away. The positive thing I can take from you say is that they are still actually making parts, and not just totally exhausting all their stock.

I'm not sure if they (TT) make parts themselves or outsource it to sub contractors.

Maybe things are looking up, if parts are being made.

I saw Helikraft had some parts but they did get a bad reputation for ripping people off last year. They appear to have two websites running, so I'm not sure what they are up to.
They've also got a very high minimum postage charge of around $20.

Rob, I have a clutch, not sure if it's new or slightly used, along with a bunch of old Raptor parts that I have no use for. You can have what you want. PM me and we'll figure it out.

This is what makes this community so awesome.
I don't have a dog in this hunt, but it is still a great thing to see the post just above this one.
Thanks Jeff. This is great.

Indeed, you guys are awesome! Thank you all so much for your helps.

I did wind up last night ordering that clutch from Helikraft. Guess I was unaware of the potential ripoff. I must admit, now that I look at the situation, I got no paypal confirmation email. Or order email, or confirmation of registration with Helikraft. Not a big deal, as the cost wasn't that high. If it doesn't come my way, I will check back.

Hey, I sure will.

In the mean time, I wrapped my clutch in a rubber sheet, and squeezed it together to remove the deformation that happaned when the liner went out. I doubt it will hold up, but I already test hovered the driveway this morning, spooling up and down a few times, and it seemed fine. I relined the bell, used Gorilla CA...it's excellent CA, so I hope it works. There's a small bit of vibration I can see in the tail in idle 2, but I am hoping as the liner wears in a bit with repeated spool-ups, that the vibes will reduce.

Thanks, I placed order from Helikraft, and 2Ltime has been kind enough to provide one as well. In addition, I've squeezed my clutch back to shape, relined my bell, and have flown it a few times, and it seems pretty good.

Thanks to everyone for the helps!
