Sorry for the low quality fuselage, but that is what I was able to get (no body but China agreed to send a fuselage to me in Brazil).

It's a funkey for 700 size (kind of) because my t-rex 700 dfc is longer and I had to extend the tail.

A friend of mine and I did the kevlar tank. It's now 1050 mL. First I was thinking in using two tanks. But I'll keep it simple for now, with this 1050 mL. I'm using a GBR-JETS COMPOSITE AIR TRAP SMALL 80ML.

I'll use the spinblades 710 asymmetrical blades. It's a lot wider than the original blades.

It's not finished. The swashplate housing still needs work. I spent months on this since I have never done anything before in this area. I don't know if it's nice looking or not. It is to me. May be not to others when comparing with such nice models. It's what I could do. So it's the maximum I can have for now.

The factory fuselage does not have door or the vents.

When I bought this fuse I tought it was like the MAC FACTORY. Same size. I guess I was wrong. I have no idea if this will work. Sincerely I don't see why it wouldn't

The way you see on the pictures it weights 5.8 kg. With 1L kero aprox 6.8 I guess. After finished (paint, batteries, leds, details) I guess it will be arround 7.2 to 7.5 kg.

A lot to do yet. A lot of sanding and smoothing. primer etc. but first: test flight!

You have a very good looking heli there! Have you decided on a paint scheme for it yet?

Wow! probably the tightest fit i've ever seen but good work getting it all in there. I am concerned about the exhaust stacks and the heat damage to the fuselage however.

Exhaust stacks in the middle of the fuselage, to me, does not look very nice, my 2 cent.

P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

Thank you copter doctor. I'm hopping nothing will happen since I saw these two videos working flawlessly. These were what get me the courage to try

Thank you mr smith! I hope I can reach the same level as you someday

I agree a rear exhaust is much prefferable. But at this moment there is no way I could afford a project different than this one. The wren is as great cool turbine. I love it

Those 2 paint schemes are similar, but the yellow would be easy to see.

I would choose a color scheme that would blend in the exhaust. Perhaps black dots that would become smaller as they go towards rear of heli.

Nice project.

Your turbine is flying. Mine is still a long way off. :-(

Good to see it in the air though!

Thank you! I'll go with the brazilian navy Jetranger color scheme:

I'ts not very bright and easy to see but with the primer only I'm getting good distances without disorientation.

Dear Mr Smith
It took me one year to finally make this works. Mostly because my ignorance. But now it does fly PERFECTLY! It flies better than it did without the fuse (who would bet on that??). It has now incredibles 50 hs!!!!

I'll do a better video next time, it's flying greatly. My dream still is to have a nice big airwolf like yours. But to have it here in Brazil is too damn expensive! More than you even think

Having the exhaust in the sides didn't worry Len Mount too much. There is lots you can do with the fuselage to detail it up enough that the exhausts are no longer "visible". One of the two projects I have lined is a much older Fun-Key fuselage that has no cut-outs for the upper and lower windows. I think that is the fuselage that they used for the MAC Factory model. The top of the doghouse is removed to get the mechanics in and out. Mine will be the same but I will have opening doors to change the batteries and to view the interior. Yours looks extremely stable in the air and that is so important. That's a good exterior scheme to allow you to add lots of little details to. Nice work so far. Keep it up.
