the temp was about 101 degrees.
I'm from south TX, and at the '95 Lawrenceville, IL Nats there was a heat wave going thru IL.

The worst humidity I'd ever experienced and the temp. was only 95.

Thought I was gonna die.....

Myself I don't care if I ever see 90+ degrees again and add about 500 percent humidity and that's all she wrote for me.

Come to the South! You get used to it.

I can't imagine sub-zero temperatures for very long. We only get like 2 snow days a year and that's plenty.

Well, THE SWARM WILL BE THERE
9th year in a row and have to be there with my 5 Amigos to host and cook at the SWARM PARTY. You know you will miss it if you don't go to IRCHA. Besides, they are still making CORONAS and the SWARM has to do their part in consuming said CORONAS and stoking the tiki village fire pit.

So remember, FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN AND THE DANCING GUY STARTS GETTING HIS GROVE ON TO THE TUNES YOU KNOW WHERE TO HEAD FOR WINGS & RUMBALLS.

Fix the speaker system.. You can't sit centerstage without being overwhelmed by the volume.
I can hear it just fine,

from site 3
lol

Too crowded, too loud, too busy, too hot, too cold, too rainy, too sunny, too...

whatever

There are four sites in AMA set aside for IRCHA, there is no reason to camp at the epicenter of site 4 all the time. I hang around between site 3 and 5, where is peaceful and there lots more real state to fly big, or just hover. I go to site 4 only when I have to.

I go to IRCHA mostly to work and still love everything from the demos, people, the flying, the clinics, the chicken wings, rum balls, apple pie MS, the site(s), the competitions, the new friendships, the giveaways and the fireworks.

This is my 11th year attending, the main reason I go is to see my old and new friends from all over the world, that I happened to meet at past Jamborees.

Yea,,, I'm gonna skip Ircha this year and save myself 2K. I concur, the heli biz is on the downswing this year and I'm not going to make that long drive to watch or buy multirotors, I can get better deals on line for all that stuff.

The first Time I went I think that the temp was about 101 degrees. Just too hot to enjoy for me
pifft... ever been in Kuwait in August?... I needed to set myself on fire just to cool off.

I fly here in Texas mostly in the summer, and it is over 100 pretty much from June to Sept when its the calmest wind wise... then you gotta deal with the mosquitoes & nats that are big enough to cause dents in the main rotors, and if its not that you got battalions of fire ants just aching to craw up your leg and start biting all at the same time.

I would make it if:

1. It was under 250 miles
2. I had money to spend there... i hate window (or table) shopping

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

This will be my 5th time attending IRCHA.

I've learned in life you need to do whatever you can when you can because you never know when you'll have the opportunity to do it again.

Not going due to time consumed by other hobbies. I know, bite my tongue.

In my case, it's shooting skeet. My son took up shooting, and it's a ball to shoot together. Sharing time with Nick is irreplaceable. Some day, he will grow up and be too busy or he won't be interested or have time to do stuff with me, so I am making time to play with him while I can!
