Hi,
Are all esc reversible or do they have to be specific?

I need 2 motors and 2 esc for my invertix, no one has them in EU, can I just buy afro esc ?

No you need a specific type.

An esc with reverse.
With the invertix I'm almost 100 percent that all four escs and motors must be the same.

On any ESC controlling a brushless DC motor, to reverse the motor, all you need to do is swap any two of the three wires.

And, if reversing any two wires to get proper rotation direction leads to less than tidy wiring, the ESC can be programmed to reverse its direction.

Either way.

Dave, as near as I can tell, he is asking about a muti-rotor ESC that will reverse motors in flight. So he can go inverted.
I think you need the correct one.

Think you're right.

Wasn't thinking of a 3D quad....

Well, that's a different problem! In that case, you need an ESC that will let you run both ways.

Yes it's a 3d quad so motors run both ways in flight, sorry I should have explained better.

looks like replacing motors and esc is going to cost a tom of money, and that's if I can find them in EU

There are several 3D esc's out there that can be made to work. I'll see if I can find some links.

I said it already,
But I would think they would all have to match for optimum flight characteristics.

There are many things to consider, gains, throttle limits, motor timing, motor kv.

Assuming that you can get the the two new escs programmed, the "brain" will probably be able to get it flying as long as they're close (esc and motor), but any kind of stunt will be adversely affected.

thanks,

i did look at encore direct but buy the time i add the parts up plus postage plus import duties plus the 2 month wait while it clears customs i would be at the cost of a new unit.
which i would probably buy as i do think its a great unit, but the main reason i got this was simple flying without being scared to crash it, but if i carnt get parts easy it becomes more of a pain.i would have to be sure i can get parts easy to invest more Money inti this.

i already have a raptor that i love but am to scared to crash beacuse of parts, the last thing i wanted was another parts headache !

the situation is a bit sad for a model i bought new less than a year ago!

i think i am going to call it a day and move on.
