Thinking about switch from the Ikon
Hi all I am thinking about trying the CGY=750. I am running the Ikon now. Was wondering if there will be a big learning curve difference between the two and if the hardware in CGY 750 is better than the Ikon. I am using a Spektrum DX8 but going to get a 14sg or 10j before long. Thanks for the input in advance have a great day Rick.

Wait until you get your 14SG and go with the 14SG over the 10J.

The new 1.4 firmware is insanely easy to setup and the default settings are really good. After setup on the bench all I had to do for my Synergy N7 was tweak the gains.

You don't need a computer to work the 750 (except for firmware updates) so that's the major difference.

A lot of pilots didn't like the earlier firmware versions, Like any flybarless system it took them a couple years to get everything tuned. It's a fantastic system and really good radio integration.

I gave it a second chance and couldn't be happier with 1.4! I like not having to take a laptop to the field.

I also have the VBar radio and it's also a fantastic system, but since I fly primarily nitro I like the 750 over the VBar. The 750 has the better nitro governor and the tail is also the best out there.
