Lunsford Turnbuckles
Anybody use these these for pitch links? I ordered a set to try out, 3mm type.
E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

You bet...they're great and come in a variety of lengths....which are spec'd in "inches", rather than mm's.

But are only available in 3mm or greater.

You'll be amazed how precise your rotor head setup will be.

Doesn't look at all like the Lundford TBs.

Doesn't even look like those links are even TBs.

Perhaps the wrong pic

I got a set of those with my 1005 I bought used many years ago. I took them off cause they drove me crazy at the time setting up the heli. But now I know better..

No they were real turnbuckles made by Miniature Aircraft in the day. In many ways they were cutting edge and at times in history were the cutting edge in heli's. I can see one of them in Grey's pic.

Can't see the "extrusion" in the link shaft to grip with a TB wrench to it can be twisted.

I would recommend being careful what machine you try lunsfords on. They are a much larger diameter and many links split, even after drilling them.Team Synergy, Team FBL Rotors-------if its not broke...it will be!

They'll work....I got the Lundsford TB's a little longer than the stock links...if too long, they can be milled down.

Those rotorheads are too kool.

You can also find some neat stuff on "Airplane" web-sites. It is often nearly impossible to remove the ends of a link once they are buried in structure. So, you can find some nice "solutions" on glider, plank 3D, precision aircraft web-sites.

A wise man once said " If it ain't broke don't fix it "

Ron Popeil once said " Set it and forget it "

There is a lesson here, but .... I'm not sure what it is.
