Where to find 1.5mm Blade Washers?
Why in the world is it so impossible to find 1.5mm blade washers? Everything comes with 1mm or 2mm, but nothing in between.

Trying to use Rail 696's (12mm root) on an Agile 7.2 with 15mm blade grips.I had one pair of plastic ones from Hirobo that I've had forever, but now I need another pair. Anybody know where I can get some?

Thanks!

Make them out of some 1.5mm stock plastic or carbon sheet. Cut four squares that fits the Diameter of the shim you want and trim a bit off each corner, then drill a hole in the centre each one them. Put all four on a bolt and tighten with a nut.

Put the bolt in a bench or Hand drill and round the pieces down to circular spacers.

Cheap as chips and could have been done in the time you've been scratching around to find production spacers..

Edit...

(or lathe if you have one!)

That's how I make them except I turn them down on my lathe. It helps to cut the corners off the squares so they don't go bumpity-bump so much when you first start turning them.

Just use a 2mm and 1mm washer set for each blade. I have run uneven sized washers before and sometimes just only one washer with no adverse issues.

Good idea's on making them. I guess that's what I gotta do!

As for uneven, I don't know, that seems like a really bad idea. It seems like you'd want to have your center of rotation down the center of the blade. Not to mention that I've already had a lot of vibration problems on this heli already, I don't want to chance it!

Yea man it's your heli so it's your call. Just my experience on the matter. Another suggestion would be to use G10 to make the spacers, easy to get it in 1.5mm sheets. G10 is easy to cut and drill and you can make a ton of them out of a sheet and G10 isnt electrically conductive like carbon is.

Mix-n-match works for me.
Sometimes at the auto parts store you can find something on one of those spinner displays. Upholstery washers, fender washers, etc.
