New to logo's
Hello everyone.

Ive just got my hands on 2 logo's.

A Brand new 500SE with an xxtreme 550 canopy with beastX and Savox servo's throughout. It also has an SPX tail and a 25mm carbon boom. Tailbox is grounded to the boom and the boom grounded to the motor mount. The motor is a scorpion , 4020 1100KV and a Tallon 90,. Skids are the same size as my logo 600 but the skid pipes are slightly shorter and the front skidbrace is set in the mounting holes closer to the middle of the frame. Edge tail blades and seem to have 550mm blades (ive not measured). I also have Thunderpower G8 pro 5000 6s packs which fit perfectly in it.
Whats got me stumped is that its running a yellow tail belt and ive been told thats not right, it should be black. is this right? noone seems to know how i can have a yellow belt in it.

As for the 600 Logo.

it came with a 3GX which is instantly coming off and being replaced with another BeastX i have.
It also has the xxtreme Canopy. It came as a 6S setup and ive been told that its wrong..
A scorpion4035 560KV motor, Castle edge 130 8s and 2 3000 mah packs with a parallel lead. i think only a 13T pinion.

before i try it, is this going to be slow, low headspeed etc. If its going to be rubbish, What do you suggest i do. change the esc and run it on 12s?

Thanks

Lee

Here's the Mikado USA part:

Hard to tell the color from the pic...doesn't look black, though.

My 600SX's have yellow belts.

Is the 500se brand new, or just new to you? Believe, all those came w.
20mm booms. Think the newer 550se was/is 22mm.

The 600 w. the 560kv motor can easily be ran on 6s if that Castle could
handle it, but it depends on how aggressive (or not) you fly. You say it is
a 8s esc? So you would have to replace that if you wanted to go 12 or even
10s, which should fly it VERY nicely, again depending on how power hungry
you are

Thanks for the replies folks.. The logo 500 is brand new, its been built and test flown. Obviously the tail boom has been upgraded as well as the spx tail. On its current setup its going to fly nice. I will post some images at some point so you guys can see. The belt in the link posted isnt like the one in my 500. This is exactly the same as whats in the 600, only obviously slightly shorter.
The 600 is also brand new apart from the motor which is second hand. It wont be getting thrown about to begin with so not having masses of power wont be an issue. Maybe mild 3d such as hurricanes, funnels, loops, rools, rainbows etc. so the 560 on 6s should be ok then with the castle edge 130? If i move up the power scale at some point i can just put a tallon 120Hv on it i guess. I was just told that it would be so underpowered on 6s

You should have a bit more lively setup than mine, with the 560kv+13t pinion, compared to my 500kv and 11t. And you will likely be flying blades
in the 600-620mm range? Should do most all of what you listed. But your ampdraw may be much higher too.......

But you may not want to listen to me, I have become quite a fan of LHS,
so......

As far as the 500se, yeah should NOT be lacking for power, mine is basically same setup,1100kv,14t and 6s........no slouch!

Just not sure what to say on that belt, aftermarket of some kind???

Nice looking fleet btw!

the difference in polyurethane vs neoprene timing belt
Why use a polyurethane timing belt vs. other types of timing belts?

Polyurethanes have unsurpassed abrasion resistance versus other plastics (See Comparative Abrasion Resistance Chart). Urethane will not abrade particles which can contaminate critical components in your drive, your product or your environment.

Relatively hard urethane's still maintain good flexibility without the use of a plasticizer. This equates to a stiffer overall system versus using a rubber belt such as neoprene. Urethane's can maintain this flexibility over a significant temperature range (-30°C to 80°C with short term to 120°C). Urethane also does not harden and degrade with age to the degree that neoprene does. Urethane's are highly elastic and tough which helps them to absorb shock and impact.

ALSO the polyurethane belts are Kevlar reinforced too
