I setup a blue mini vbar I'm a Trex 500 pro. Went to fly it yesterday for the first time since putting a new ESC onboard. I traded the stock Align for a CC Edge 75. It's been about a year since I last flew this heli so basically starting over to get things setup right. Prior to this I had flown it about 30 flights with no issues.
On this flight I didn't push anything just wanted to see what adjustments might be needed. I noticed that the gain seemed high by a typical quick wag in the tail and the hrs bounced a little when I moved to head. I made note of these and then punched out from a hover to see if the tail would blow out. This is where I had a problem. The tall blew out and went into a pirouette that I could not stop or change. I moved the rudder stick both ways and it had no effect on the piro. The only way I could stop it was to auto the heli. Once on the ground I checked the rudder servo control and things worked as they should. The heli tipped over on landing in rough ground and the Mains hit dirt, this stripped all 3 cyclic servos.
I'm curious if anyone has an idea on why the vbar would allow this to happen. Below is the log file from that flight.

It could be a vibration problem, have you checked your tail rotor shaft/hub? I had an issue on my trex 500 and the tail rotor shaft and hub were causing the vibration. I hope that this might help you trace down your problem.

Is your tail servo properly selected?
Also, I just had this happen on my Logo 600.. twice.. flew around fine.. fast pitch pump.. out of control piro. I chalked it up to the protek servo.. now I am wondering if it was the mini vbar.

looks to me the gyro pad failed or something mechanical was causing a bad vibration. stripped or damaged gear.
possibly the wiring for the sat rx came loose. I put a small blob of hot glue on the connectors. how did you secure the wires.
you should have landed right away when the tail started kicking.

If it was anything like mine the only choice he had was to land.. I had to hit TH and auto in like he did.

I don't really have a good answer. I'm out of town for a few days. When I get back I will look into it more and see what the settings are. I set it up a year ago and I'm pretty sure that I had it set right as far as servo.
Hitting TH and doing an auto was the only option I had. The piro wasn't insanely fast but fast enough that I didn't like it.

Maybe I misread

either way you will know when you tear it down to rebuild

If you're using the BEC of the Edge 75, what voltage is it set to? Same as before? What Tail servo?

Make sure the servo is capable of the voltage selected.

Even if the voltage is the same, there could be a difference in the power draw of the servos. Your log indicates the possibility of electrical noise and the vbar isn't known to have of the best input power filtering so can have trouble with power draw under certain conditions.

And, it could always be the servo got stuck. Look for debris in the gears. Or could be a bad pot. Do plenty of bench testing and look for any odd behavior of the servos.
