Guys

I am completing my Goblin 380 and just was giving it a look over. Looking at the heli from the back I noticed that the tail case mounted to the boom and is crooked !! . If you can picture the tail rotor shaft not being parallel to the ground is what I am describing. Its like you installed a tail case and slightly rotated it clockwise and tightened it. I took apart the tail case and its plumb and true.

Putting it back together looks like the 2 holes on each side of the boom are not drilled correctly. I can push the right side of the tails case down and elongate the holes and that should solve it.But at nearly 400.00 for the kit and having no problems with my previous goblin 500 I am surprised for sure !

I don't have pix now to illustrate but was wondering who to contact.
The dealer or email SAB direct ? I feel I should be entitled to a new boom and don't feel that's allot to ask.

Thanks for any advice

Is it so that the tail rotor shaft will be parallel to the ground in the hover, since the helicopter will lean a bit?

This thing is way, out I would have to drill 2 new holes in the right side of the tail boom 3/16 below the original hole to true this thing up

I will post a photo when I get home later

make sure you front boom hole is on the mount right and the nylon bolt hole is centered. my is rear holes are perfect. but i had to adj the front hole a 1/16" to fit in the mount correctly & square the rear end, so double check that first

ALSO for those who have not yet did the boom install yet, make sure to use a piece of scotch tape and stick where the double face tape goes and remove the primer coat on the inside of the boom none of my tape stuck after cleaning with alcohol then tring to put screw the slightest pressure separated the tape from the boom and then the nut holders fell off and wasted my tape had to replace with vxb tape witch is better but wish the manual would have told us to remove the primer why primer the inside of the boom SO add a step to insure the double faced tape has a good surface to adhere too , very simple use scotch tape or masking tape and stick and remove the primer
