Transmitter gain.
100% or a bit more Ele D gain is not unreasonable . Drop it to 20 % BELOW default and then increase from there. It makes it easier to see what likely too little looks like and then improve it from there.

I did try 65% d gain yesterday but it got more bouncy that's why I started going the other way, good advice though

tried it again this morning at 110(105 previously) and it was definitely better . with a forward jab it stopped perfectly and with a backward jab just one small bounce , I think i'm getting close

Up elevator bounce is the more demanding to suppress. Don't just sit in hover bumping the elevator because it's not what you do in typical flying; do forward and backwards flips and other elevator maneuvers to assess. Do those and tune the stops as needed. You can induce an elevator bounce in any system with an aggressive enough elevator jab with the stick allowed to bang back to center.

oohh, so do I need to start again with the tuning ?, I have been trying to copy what nick Maxwell does in his tuning video, there he kind of does a quick forward and back elevator input and then left and right, so I was thinking that its the change in direction where the bounce would be noticeable. and then I tried jabbing where it was very noticeable and kind of got carried away trying to stop it.
when I do the wall and then punch out , side on , there is no wobble, so maybe I've gone too far now .

What Nick did is fine. You just have to understand that what matters is a lack of bounce when you are maneuvering as usual. When that's good, you're done. You can get D gain up so high the feel will get sticky in flight or it'll oscillate in certain high speed situations.

should I put the elevator head response back to 1 or keep it at 2, i'm thinking of resetting the elevator tab back to default to start that part of the tuning again

tried it again this morning, and I can't find any problems with the elevator so I'm going to leave it alone, I have one more thing that I want to tune out and that's a little rudder wiggle in tik toks, the rudder gain is adjusted to within an inch of its life and if I turn it up 2 or 3 percent I get a wag in fast funnels so for me right now that's good,

Drop the rudder gain 5-10% and tell me what the rudder wiggle in tic tocs does.

heres my report, I tried it right at the beginning and end of the battery, I first tried it as it is to see what the difference, if any ,would be, both times with the gain turned down the wobble got bigger and slower, its at the point where I change from positive to negative collective and vice versa, but I'm beginning to think that I should start again from scratch as I noticed other things that shouldn't be there now and I think I've tuned in the wrong direction, for example , I have been watching nick Maxwell's tuning video and in the fast forward flight with small elevator inputs I get an elevator wobble, so I'm going to start with the basic and try and get them better first.
what do you think

That's fine. Just remember that Nick's video is for V1.31 firmware, not V1.4.

so I reset my elevator values this morning to see if I can tune the basics first, everything seemed ok apart form a little bounce in the same places as in n.maxwell's videos, he tuned these bounces with I gain, I did lower it to see what happened but I don't think I 'm a good enough pilot to be able to tell the difference, to me it seemed better, especially in tik toks, but it could be my imagination, what does I gain do?
there is still a small wobble from forward flight and jabbing the elevator, thats main gain I believe. I think resetting was the right thing to do, feed forward( or ele comp I think its called now) is perfect as it is, I think its set to 5 by default and it tracks straight up and down with a little wiggle at the bottom(can't really see the top)anyway onward and upward

so I tried again this morning to increase the I gain just to see what it did, I went up to 90(default 80) and immediately there is wag on the stops, so I backed it back down to 70 and the wag stopped but there is still a small bounce , is this the point where I adjust the d gain?
the overall gain I lowered to 45 too

right now I a little confused , I don't know what to adjust to get rid of this wobble, I've tried all the suggestions from before and keep going back to the default settings which seem to be about the best ,but far from perfect, if I go up with the overall gain the wobble gets faster and if I go down it gets slower but doesn't go away and also feels like I'm not connected to it, with d gain its the same , tik toks the rudder wobbles , but I haven't tried adjusting that yet, don't really know where to start, its not annoying but it shouldn't be there, what should I do first, I have adjusted overall gain until the wobble kind of goes away but then it seems to shake in a hover so I back it back down and the shake goes away but the wobble is there, I have no experience with a pid loop so that's why I'm confused , actually I can't find p gain it must be called something else

Put ele I gain back to default.
Set el D gain to 100.
Reduce the control gain 2-4 points and tell me what the elevator bobble does.
