Does anyone use training gear when they are adjusting their heli after a rebuild. I wanna make sure if something is gonna go wrong and violently shake then landing gear will save me.

Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot

Generally not many would put a training gear on after a rebuilt, unless you are still in the stage of hovering and confident enough if you fixed your heli up properly. If that's the case it's advisable to put a training gear on to avoid any un-neccessary damaged. Always do your pre-flight check before starting up your heli. Replaced all damaged parts if necessary, do not assumed, there are lots of rotating parts on a helicopter and it's very dangerous if any of the parts not running true or tightened up properly.

Hover Safely..
