Ok so I have one of these since first release and never have got it to fly right. It was very unstable and had an uncontrollable tail. We have tried several radios and my radio on friends 180's. replaced all servos and some other items. Still couldn't figure it out. So I sent it back to horizion. While it was out I updated my dx8 to latest firm ware. I get it back and now I can't get it bind or I think?
Here is what its doing? Reciever starts blinking like in bind mode go thru normal bind mode reciever goes to a solid light then shuts off with in 10-15 secs and esc bliks continuously reciever stays off no control. Battery is fully charged. Called horizion they sent me a new as3x. I install it still same issue. This radio has no issue binding to any of my other helis, I have tried reseting radio to a new model and at a diffrent location in radio memory. It is set to new updated changes for radio settings listed on horizion site.

I'm at a loss I have had this thing for 6 months total of one min flight time. Anyone one have suggestion. I'm sick of throwing money at it with same out come. Can the esc be reprogrammed thru castle link, is esc bad

Its a shame cause every one else's flies good but I cant even get this to hoover properly.

Do none of the servos move, or is it just the throttle?
If it is just the throttle not responding try re-calibrating the throttle channel in the Tx to the Esc.

nope nothing like the bec just shuts down while trying to bind. or the esc is going in to a safe shut down mode like it does when voltage is low. But don't know where to get a cable to adapt to the jst plug or if the normal castle link will chat with it. Looks like they have switched the signal wire and negative on this one for some reason. I assume that is how it's suppose to be since I have never messed with that.

that stinks
If you sent the heli back to Horizon and they worked on it--they must have bound it and checked everything out before sending it back; could it be that there's something not set right in your radio? I don't use a Dx8 but maybe someone who is using that radio for the 180 could share all of their settings and you could compare them to yours?

I have copied my setting direct from horizon site, and we have tried friends radios with there model setup same issue. Only thing that hasn't been replaced so far is motor and esc. Also heli bound up fine before I sent to horizion with this radio just wouldn't fly right. And yes horizion says they test flew it before shipping back to me but they can't tell me what work they did to it. It didn't get put on the work order.

Dx8 binding
I remember when I had my Dx8; I sometimes had to put the radio a few feet away from the model to get a good bind you might try that.

Blade 180x binding issue
I have experienced the problem of the reciever not binding to my X930 and a friends DX8 . It tries to bind and light remains solid for 10 seconds then goes out. Sent the heli back to HH for credit. I suspect bad ESC. I have owned this Heli for 2 weeks and HH tried to work through it with me to no avail. We tried two receivers with latest firmware and two different TX. Has anyone else experienced this and has anyone found a solution?

have same issue as well
I have the same issue as well seems to bind but light goes out after about 5 seconds if you look closely the receiver light is still on but very dim on the fbl unit
but no movement to servos or motor I did get the fbl unit to bind the day before went to sleep woke up wouldn't bind after that I may wire up a separate receiver pack tonight when I get home to power the fbl unit with out the bec and see if it a esc issue either way I have a micro ikon on order just in case the fbl unit is bad lol think im going to order a esc also just have to do a little more research as to what will fit...
