Apparently, when the pilot left the cockpit, he was locked out by the co-pilot....and the co-pilot deliberately crashed the A320 into the mountains....

I wonder if one day the airlines/authorities will be given the ability to remotely take back control of an aircraft in this type of situation or hijack etc.

In less than 24 Hours a France prosecutor ???? : It was mass murder via aircraft. They see the Lock / the switch / the key pad and they heard him say so : Must have been witnesses. Watch the narrative in less than 24 Hours

Look at the debris field - look at a few tree stump's - look at the terrain -- look at the burn zone How do you do that ?? Majority - Nothing bigger than a dinner plate.

That would open the door for hackers.....

They are saying that in Europe it's acceptable for only one person to be in the cockpit at times(bathroom break, etc.).

In the USA, that is totally unacceptable, for this reason. At least two people must be in the cockpit at all times.

If the European carriers adopted this procedure, the co-pilot would have had to incapacitate the 2nd person.

Indeed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is implemented one day...

Some of the European operators have already announced that they are going to adopt the 3rd person policy. There will now be pressure on the others to follow.

And with the A320, how in heck can a right-handed pilot fly the joystick using his left hand?.....

At least with a "Yoke", it doesn't matter.

Well why do they call it the cockpit then? Actually I was not refering to the cockpit.

In pratical application there should be very little difference between being left handed or right handed when flying. If we can do it flying a heli it can be done in FS without any problems. Our helis are much harder to fly in reference to the hand eye coordination than any FS.

Yeah it does, the throttles are in the middle. Even with a yoke the copilot typically flies right handed and the pilot left handed, with the free hand on the throttles.
