What about the guys bashing 1/5 scale rc cars around in public places that could break your leg or even worse to a small child, no one bats an eye lid!
Post the video of the idiot doing that and please make sure he is the best driver in the world, so we can call him out for his lack of common sense an you can defend him because "he is the best driver in the world"

alot of questions.

1. Bitching is how we, as a community, call out asshats, doing stupid stunts. (Don't fly over people, cars, etc.)(are you listening drone guys)

2. Hope to change thoughtless acts. Think of the situation. Maybe out back by the dumpster would be a better location.

3. Idea on simmin'. I do that already.

4. Lead by example. Sir, that's what this entire thread has been about.

5. Trolls and drama queens? You're the one late to the party.

6. Dead horse. Take that to OT. (I got a hell of a dead horse story)

And, I will add, I'm not a HeliWhore. Maybe a little slutty at times. But always for free.

Actually,I started a thread about that very subject on another site.
This is not the site to complain about 1/5 scale gassers.

The one I posted was a 70cc 1/5 scale that was destroying a ball diamond.

It gets the attention of sponsors who in turn reign in their flyers.
It has already worked on a few occasions.

So stay out of it.
There's nothing simpler.

To me,there's nothing more annoying than someone who posts over and over what a waste of their time a thread is.
Stop opening it.

Crashing was the best thing that could've happened to them, and for everyone else's sake.
The pilot was able to stir it skillfully. Is that what it's called, ha..

There are too many what ifs to make this flight ok.

To the people saying "it's just a 450"....it's an extremely powerful 450. There was a guy in Japan not so long ago who got severely injured by a 450 that messed up while spooling up. It wasn't even at full speed and it popped up hitting his friend in the back of the head. His friend required extensive surgery.

There are new limitations proposed on our hobby almost daily. We don't need anyone modeling such risky behavior for today's youth.

All we are asking is for everyone to be safe and use your common sense a little so we can continue to enjoy the hobby. I personally enjoy watching DR'S videos when he is flying at the flying field. I wouldn't be surprised if those of you who think there's nothing wrong with the video probably have removed the seat belts from your vehicles and drive at night with no headlights on.

Just Google "injured by radio controlled helicopter " if you think it's not that common. Oh...and don't look at the pictures. And all it takes is one accident highly publicized and next thing you know our hobby becomes more highly regulated, or banned.
I've done some stupid things in this hobby, but never anything that put others lives or health at risk.
I'm less worried about what could have happened with this pilot, than I am worried that some kid watching this thinks that this is how you normally fly.

The fact that we have to argue that what was done in that video should not have been done just floors me.

There's no such thing as common sense. Because common sense isn't common, it betrays its definition.

There is, however, behavior that will eventually, though own action or imitation, lead to unnecessary injury. Lightning doesn't fall into that category. Swimming during a lightning storm does. If you don't see the difference, no one can help you, except Darwin, I guess.
