I would say that comment is the height of insensitivity at the moment.5. He had control at all times, he did not get locked out of the cockpit! With much skill, much is expected. If he can do it in those places, all the kiddies can because they saw him do it. BTW, we are all kids. |

I was just making a point that sh@t happens, flying in a plane is risky, but the pilot is not stupid or an idiot! The kiddies can't even fly helis so that's irrelevant.60% of the time, it works every time! |

Guys, there is an enormous difference between risk to self and risk to people outside the hobby.I am disappoint. No matter how good he is, he's got some growing up to do. |

60% of the time, it works every time! like your signature says is the other 40% you have worry about and pay attention to and obviously he choose to ignore it, and that's what makes him disserve the name we are calling him, common sense is becoming obsolete specially among the young, very sad. |

Did you not read? We have already been told it is irrelevant. (sarcasm off) If you don't want anyone to criticize your flying, don't post the video to the internet. Richard needs a nappie.sad thing is someone else might see what he is doing and think its ok to do and hurt someone |

More risk of scratching one of the cars A 450 at those speeds can do more than just scratch a person, stick your finger in a 450 thats at full head speed and you will get a lot more than just a scratch. Especially at the blade tip..I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ? |

wasn't it goblin 380 (380mm blades )it's almost a 500 size(430 mm blades) bigger than a 450
and a 450 will seriously injure someone if they were hitregardless of the size it was a stupid place to fly PERIODI don't fly my 450 where people or cars are and nobody has insurance that will cover flying in a public area
who ever posted that video was dumber than the idiot doing the flying. |

im guessing he has insurance. Do you realize how silly that sounds?Do you think that "insurance" would adequately pay for anyone's injuries.Would such insurance re-connect someone's head?Get real. |

If I were an insurance adjuster on a claim made by that pilot, I would be looking for internet video evidence, find this and deny the claim and cancel his insurance.Come on ... we just don't need another really bad year like last year. Fly safe, give yourself some space. If you catch yourself saying "watch this", maybe you shouldn't continue with the stunt. |

I saw 2 people walking over by the cars, Duncan kept it to the left while they walked past. Completely untrue.
He flew directly at the passerby and climbed a little and did smack 3D directly over his head.See the guy walking by the cars?
See the yellow package he is carrying? In the shot with the heli higher in the air...see the yellow object partially hidden by Dunkan's head? That is the package the passerby is carrying.
Where is the heli now in relation to the passerby?Directly over his head. I literally never use the word literally right. |

Well, if you are willing to spend the money, I am sure you can find an insurance agency to sell you a policy. I know that some RC businesses insure their aircraft for crash damage. It is not cheap, but the price of the policy has to cover the risk taken by the underwriter.Your homeowner or personal liability insurance will probably cover the cost of you tearing up someones car, property or personal injury, but you will probably not be able to buy insurance after that and if they can prove negligence (likely flying like this) you would probably pay the entire settlement out of pocket or have to declare bankruptcy to satisfy the judgement. |

I would be worried about maiming someone... take off a finger, or hand... and you could have a big judgement... it goes up from there. Negligence... pretty much opens you up to a big judgement. |

Directly over his head.
It was never directly over them. If you watch more closely, the heli is on this side of that van (and also a looks to be a good 10-15 feet above the van) while the person walking is still up a few cars. He actually pulls it over to the left, before they get to where he was flying. He then does those stationary tricks, while waiting for them to pass him. He was aware of them and at his level was basically hovering off to the side while letting them pass by unaffected. They clearly were not worried or they would have gone on the other side of the cars. |

Did you even look at the picture you used in the quote?
The heli is on this side of the van...so is the passerby. It is DIRECTLY over his head.Look again. Those two pix are less than a second apart. As fast as I could double tap the hot key.Actually about a second and a half...look at the time index on the video...bottom left.Seriously...I can see all the cars a couple cars down the line but I don't see the passerby because he's blocked by Duncan's head...like the van and the car beside it.Think about it. If he was behind any other car besides the van or wagon beside it...you would be able to see him. You can't soooo....Where is he?I literally never use the word literally right. |
