Like I posted, I seen folks just put a 2.4 module and fly. The pin out is the same.

FS, they may contact me directly right here on RR. ATX has a solution that will use a foot pedal for throttle and collective. We've done several for the wounded warriors. The foot pedal works well if the pilot is in a wheelchair.

If we know the exact situation of the veteran there is plenty of room for customization.

My friends back in the late 80's (RIP Dave, Ken, and Austin)all flew single stick C7's and they were all PPM. I recall a dual stick C7 PCM and of course the PCM9 but I can't recall seeing a PCM SS C7. This would be consistent with Chago saying you could just plug in the 2.4 module.

According to a Jan. 1986 RCM advertisement for Circus Hobbies, Dr. Ben is correct. The Century 7 SS is AM or FM. There is a picture of a PCM Century 7 Dual Stick but it is not in the price list.

If the module plug in spec. has not changed over the years ?, you could also plug in the new DMSS module.

Additionally, all of the JR PCM radios of that vintage have PCM prominently displayed on the front of the transmitter - not in the above picture.

Thanks D but I take no credit for this. It was done by Mike out at ATX originally for his Dad and then for others that might benefit.

Hi Heli_Splatter
Although this series of postings on a 2.4 conversion for a single stick Century 7 JR Tx. are now dated, I was curious about the source for all of this inaccurate information for converting this metal cased single stick JR transmitter to 2.4. As the owner of eight of these transmitters, I have tried to use three different aftermarket 2.4 modules to convert these transmitters. This includes Assan, Corona, and FrSky. None of these were successful to convert the Century 7 to 2.4! All three module aftermarket manufacturers do not list this Century 7 transmitter as being convertible but start with the JR transmitter 347, JR's first computer transmitter and which followed the JR Century 7 in production. Would dearly like to hear from some expert who has successfully converted his Century 7 to 2.4 ???? Maybe a hack 2.4 system????
