Hi Guy's

been trying to get the gpro setup, having problems, I can get it to bind no probs but the servo's wont move, the tail servo just twitches, when I blug the speed controller in it just bleeps 3 time, all the servo's are getting power. the gpro connects to the pc software, the only thing I can change is servo direction on swash direction in the software and tail servo from 1520 to 720 this makes servos move. radio I'm using is Jr xg14 with align dmss remote sat, have tried sat in port 1 and 2

the Gpro does connect to pc, when I goi nto setup and pick align dmss remote I then bind, power down heli and radio, go back into setup and I cant change the stick travels, it does not seen my radio

I have re-installed firmware and software on pc

when I plug in my old 3gx all is fine

Have you upgraded you xg14 firm ware to the xbus ? If so I think u need to use mode b xbus to communicate with g pro

Without doing so will leave the Rx telling the wrong channels as the gpro channel assignment is different then jr assignment

Ok so I would start by installing the newest jr firm ware to you sd card first save your model data as the new firmware will erase it . So first save model data, second remove card go to jr web site save the zip file to sd card in the jr folder. Update XG. Then triy rebinding sats to gpro

I don't think u need xbus Rx as the sat Rx are xbus right ? It's worth a try ?? So select mode b x bus n try that if not ?? Try calling jr America's the have the best service there

Psssst -- he is NOT USING an XBUS receiver. He appears to be using an Align RJ01 DMSS compatible satellite that plugs directly into one of the two satellite receiver ports on the side of the GPro.

-----

Now, just for fun...assuming your JR transmitter and RJ01 DMSS receiver are happy and talk to each other...

Go to this menu page in the GPro setup software:

I notice that when you select the DMSS satellite option, you don't get a bind option, so I have to assume that is taken care of somehwere else in the TX/RX setup stuff.

But -- with the satellite plugged in, bound to your TX and the page shown above visible on your PC --

Simply move your aileron, elevator, rudder, and throttle sticks on your TX. You ought to see the individual sliders associated with each function moving on this menu. If they are not moving here, you're not going to see the servos moving later on. If the sliders aren't moving, it's an indication that either your TX isn't talking to your RX, or your RX isn't talking to the GPro. That might be reason to contact Align and see what's up.

OK -- I've done some digging, including going to that "other site". You are not alone. People trying to use the DMSS Align RJ01 satellite are having the same problem.

Looking through the Align site, it is not clearly stated that DMSS protocol from a satellite is currently supported.

The setup software indicates it is an option, but my guess is that currently the V1.2 GPro software has not yet turned on the DMSS support.

Mr. Pitfall is not the only person having this trouble. I sent an email to Tim Terrones at AlignRCUSA, asking if DMSS is actually supported in V1.2 software.

TrOcks says he is using two RJ01s....wonder if you need both? Sounds a bit odd.

I PM'ed him to see what his secret might be.

Take a look in your Transmitter System Setup menu. Find the X.bus screen. Set the function to INHibit. See what happens.

If that doesn't work, set the TX to MODE.A.

Please report back.

It would seem that if you didn't download and install the new software for your transmitter that includes X.bus functionality, there should be no magic setting needed to make this work. Assuming your current TX does not have X.bus capability.
