Yes, I should know better. But I bought an Agusta 109A fuselage from Amazon. The product box was dirty, damaged, and had obviously previously been opened. All windshield/window components were missing. The foam sections in the box were damaged, and the subsequent movement of the fuselage within the box resulted in significant paint chipping. I should gave suspected something as the price was about 2/3rds of what it would normally sell for. But the item description made no mention that is was an opened item with possibly missing components. From the description, I think any reasonable person would anticipate that they were selling a new item.

I've been trying to post politely worded negative reviews regarding both the product and the packaging, but of course Amazon is having none of that. On top of that, there appears to be no direct way to contact Amazon Customer Service so as to directly voice my displeasure.

Yes, I have the option of returning the item for credit, but now I have to go through the hassle of repackaging the item and either dropping it off at a UPS station or arranging a pickup.

OK, rant over. I feel better already!

The effort of repackaging and dropping off the item to get a refund is more than worth it. Come on now, you know you can get a refund from Amazon, alot better than being scammed by a fraudulent user online.

Don't be lazy, pack it up, send it back, get your refund and be done with it

Was Amazon the seller or a third party going through Amazon? Either way, you should be able to call Amazon and talk to a person. They have a number but it's a bit buried on their site. I have called them before.

I am sure they will take care of you. My guess is they will give you a call tag to ship it back so the only thing you will be out of is your time to box it back up.

Remember to take pictures of how the item arrived as evidence. (Oh, and post them here too. )

Yes, I know I can go through the effort and send the item back for a refund. It just bugs me that the item was portrayed as new when it obviously wasn't.

The item was sold and shipped by Amazon with no third-party seller involvement.

Finding contact information is a challenge, as there is no apparent direct E-mail of phone information for Customer Service.

They know I'm less than pleased, as they have rejected my reviews with the rejections apparently E-mailed from "do not reply to" E-mail addresses.

Lesson learned to stick with our tried and proven heli suppliers.
