done, and ig'g yours truly don't mean squat, none of them do, one day it'll make sense, one day.
This is a hobby. We fly toy helicopters. So yeah, nothing really means squat, does it? Keep it safe, step on fewest toes possible, and nothing else matters other than have fun!

Thank You to McK for this thread. We all enjoy our "guy" to watch and all that, but, like WC said "one of the greatest". Also, to his credit, NOT sponsored. The guy is always smiling and helpful. He travels the world with his "Toys" and does a fair job of "Promoting the hobby". Lots of other Rich (Wealthy) folks would not be as positive.

As a note: who doesn't like a few obstacles when flyin? I have birdfeeders, Maple trees, lilac bushes, a garage, a scarecrow in summer. No fun to fly in giant open space, nothing to do.

Yes, good thread. Tareq is always fun to watch. His style is his own and cant be matched. The fact that he isnt and does not want to be sponsered by anyone says a lot about him. He seems like a good guy that just wants to have fun flying.

Tareq doesn't need a sponsorship. He couldn't run out of money in the hobby if he tried!

Not sure why many think sponsorship is an end-all goal in the hobby. It marries you to one brand and you are betrothed to promote it, cannot honestly state your brand's faults, and are often restricted from trying or speaking of other brands. Censorship and restriction is part of the deal. Then, you can't go to an event just to have fun, unless your idea of fun is customer service and promoting your model. I don't have the money Tareq has, but I still have no inclination to ever be sponsored, even if I achieved flight mastery.

He's having fun in the hobby, is one of the best, has a good following, and can fly what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Why ruin that?

Wow
Mad skills, but don't think I'd be buying any USED SERVOS from Tareq. He squeezes everything from his helis.

Never said and I don't think sponsorship is an ultimate goal. I agree with you. Sponsorship brings lots of roadblocks actually. It's just that someone like him could be worth a lot of cash to the right company. He's a free spirit in the hobby and that's pretty neat.

agree +++
the absolute whole point...

if all or most pro pilots would do this at each event, you would see flying only what they feel is the best to compete with. I sometimes feel like manufacturers are constantly trying to pull the wool over my eyes with some of thier products.... voltz comes to mind.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Sponsorship is a moot point for Tareq, hell he could sponsor the heli companies if he chose to.

It's not.
Watch the people. They move naturally when in the video and you can't change the speed of a video back and forth without noticing it.

It's just a 450 running about 4500 RPM.lol...
