So a bear does 3D in woods.

Don't you guys understand the concept of "Private Property"?

Why would anybody assume that he is not being responsible?

Can't really blame a person for assuming a wooded area is public. Most of us are too poor to entertain or appreciate the idea that it could be private.

As for giving Tareq the benefit of the doubt, yeah, he's been given no quarter in this thread by some. It's fine to ask the question, but we shouldn't be so quick to condemn without information.

I don't want to argue, but you lost me? Why are trees public property? If I'm poor, (I am), why would I assume no one owns anything? Don't you know the concept of ownership?

As long as we can just "fantasize", I'll assume it's definitely "Private Property" and he is doing nothing wrong what-so-ever. I'll assume he's a great guy, making a video to share with his fellow fliers!!!

I know' "Rebel Thinkin". Pretty scarey.

If you don't trespass there will be no problem.

I did lose you because at no point have we been in disagreement. I'm just trying to say why someone might have thought it was public. Maybe he saw trees, and thought it's a public hiking/riding trail and anyone could have just popped around that corner and taken a heli in the face. I'm with you in that this isn't giving anyone the benefit of the doubt.

Heck, I was first to state it might be private if you want to look back.

LOL people are so used to internet criticism we see it everywhere. We're cool, dude.

Thanks bro. Sometimes I understand why no one posts. Do anything, say anything, show anything and somebody just has point out how "Bad" it is.

The guy has massive talent and truth be told, I saw a video where people try to "take out" his chopper. No such luck.. he's too fast for them!!!!

he aint gonna hit no poor innocent bike rider

Best part has to be when he's tick tocking into a tiny pocket between trees to the left. At around 1:35. I got a good laugh out of that. Major skills.

sure like to see that one

if you were riding a bike and heard those blades, unless you were tuned out with an ipod, or a runner, you would not be looking down at the line on the trail.

Tareq most likely did not do any trimming due to the public space nature of location.

Maybe this would explain why I wasn't super amp'd on the first vid

Watch at YouTube

turn up the rpm and who knows how spastic Nick could have flown, and how about the landing, sheesh.

And just what is that location? Where is he flying?

Just know that that post is the next to last one you'll make in this thread.

There we go making assumptions again. icanfly, you've been trying to pull Tareq down with subtle digs in nearly every post. I'm embarassed for you, really. Thou doth protest too much.

I like Nick Maxwell, too. A lot. He's essentially my favorite pilot. But this is a thread about Tareq's flight in the woods. Why cast pilot against pilot? Start another thread!

The youtube video itself has this memo;
TAREQ Alsaadi flying his goblin 700 in Switzerland Forest
I cannot say for sure, but it is quite possible that trail is public land.

How many forests are in Switzerland?
Are any of them private?

And what does it matter?
How many spotters did he have?
Is this trail gated?
Is it private property?

Short of having seen someone almost hit, thus proving an unsafe situation existed, and short of approaching Tareq (or Nick) himself and asking what precautions were made or what conditions existed, no one knows.

But it won't stop the conjecture.

Just enjoy the frikin video. LOL.

You know something... I watched and enjoyed the video... someone pointed out that it was public land. It did not change my opinion of the great flying skills, but you would have to admit that whoever brought it up could have been right. Get over yourselves. Flying does not belong in a public park on a public trail. For someone to mention that, is not wrong. It would take half a sec for a biker to be in the middle of a tick-toc and be injured.

I do not know where it was videoed, so I cannot comment on that. With great skill, much is expected.

someone pointed out that it was public land.
And they pointed that out without having any idea if it's true or not.
For someone to mention that, is not wrong.
There's mentioning and then there's harping on something no one has any information on.

Your points are taken and understood

I agree with this. There is value added in pointing out that, if true, without any precautions taken, such a condition would be unsafe. And it has value in teaching anyone who would try that on their own to consider.

But short of verifiable information, end it there. One post (not yours) went so far as to blast Tareq in conversational format, criticizing as to what he should do in shooting videos. Not cool unless you know what conditions existed for certain.

Make sense?

I would assume Tareq has some sort of entourage. If it was a public trail it isn't inconceivable that there may have been people up each way to make sure someone doesn't come down the trail. It took less than 4 minutes to make the video, I'm sure they had things under control.

ok, I'll give this one more try.

For the past 2.5 years of back yard flying my helis have trimmed a little off everything in the yard and hit all the hard objects too, not out of deliberately wanting to, sometimes you just encounter proximity and control issues at certain times, like after too much coffee, lol. Sometimes the plants suffer, some times the heli falls prey, (back yard needed lots of pruning anyway).

No one was razzing Tareq, no jealousy exists, I can't do half of what those pros do, but I certainly aspire to that level and see shinning moments in my own experience and confidence levels.

Forgive me if I miss the "Boys Club" aspect here. It could be safely assumed that lacking the "Boys Club" mentality on HF got me off there, fair enough. It's important to consider guys who are hard asses and don't "play along" like tin soldiers to every toy drum, the crap some people pass off as excitement and bs off as hype.

So I reviewed the first vid after watching one of his from 2009 in Switzerland. Things are always more exciting when they are fresh, then the hype fades, so be it, so it is done,

done, and ig'g yours truly don't mean squat, none of them do, one day it'll make sense, one day. I have tons of bush and or forest like locations to fly any time btw, they aren't going anywhere.

be well.
