Good morning all, we are nearing the final countdown. There have been a few questions asked and I'll first get to those: all helis are welcome be it electric, nitro, gas, turbine bring them all. This is not a AMA sanctioned event so it will be a little more lax than others. As for camping or lodging, there is some room at the field for campers and there are plenty of cheap motels about 1-2 miles from the field just off the Mass pike.

The address to the field is:

501 Pleasant Street
Lee, MA

It is located behind the back of the Boyd Converting building.

We have had some great response and looks to be shaping up for some great flying. We have factory pilots who will be on hand, some great food, and raffles as well!!!

Hopefully be weeks end Ill be posting a schedule of events for the day. If you have any questions please feel free to ask of give Joe at BarnSpeed a call at 413-243-2651.

Hey guys, we are winding down. Just two days away. The weather forecast is causing some concern for the event. I'm hoping that the weather holds out for us. We have been forecasted quite a few days of rain over the past month and haven't seen much, lets hope it stays the same.

At the moment they are calling from some rain in the morning and then some clearing. Ill keep an eye out and have a better look on things tomorrow. In the case of a washout on Saturday, the event will be held on Sunday May 17.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed for the rain to pass. We have a lot of people who have responded and some great people making long trips up.

There are some great raffles up for grabs, one of them being a SAB Goblin 380!!!

yeah
That was my question, if its going to rain then will the event be on Sunday?

I looked tonight shows 80% chance of rain for Saturday.

Anyway, I'll check again tomorrow night and hopefully by then you'll have a better idea if the weather is good for Saturday or are we going on Sunday.

Many thanks,

Been looking forward to this all week
OK, just got back from dinner. I am BEAT. Been raking grass all week long to de-thatch the yard, finally finished up tonight and put down my Step 1 with halts. Now I'm ready for some rest and relaxation!

The helis:

MA 1005 - ready!
Spectra-g - ready!
Whiplash-g - ready!
Electric car - charging

Everything is loaded up in the car with 2 1/4 gallons of gas, can never run out even if airborne the whole day.

See you guys sometime tomorrow late morning I'm guessing, my trip is about 2+ hours away.

OMG!
What an awesome event, great guys and wonderful company. The food was plentiful, couple of cheeseburgers, boston beans & bacon, homemade pasta salad and potato salad with bacon bits and green beans, chocolate bars, chips, homemade cookies, drinks, and later some pizza to boot to keep the bellies full and the rotors turning!

When are you guys going to have another one, I hope this is not it for this year, you say when and I'm there!

Good some good airtime with my gassers as well as several other models, another gasser, a trex 700 with low headspeed for a 12 minute flight (yeah!) and also a 3 bladed goblin to boot!

Wonderful crowd and hung out and chatted about the good old times from years past in the evening after the flying was done.

Thanks Joe and all involved, you did a great job

These guys really know how to put on a great event, the food was literally like a buffet lol. Great flying from all that attended, don't think there was to much carnage so that's good! Looking forward to another event in the future, thanks Joe for being a great host to my buddy and I from Long Island.
