Seems I went threw off topic, and every thread having to do with Hotel Foxtrot is closed?

Strange coincidence... or is there a higher power at work.

I am not sure how this relates to censorship. I thought they were back in business. Guess not.

I can tell you one thing, every major RC site out there is owned and controlled by the developer.

We just need more of our comrades to join us here.

By the way, I assumed my last comment on the former thread got it closed. I didn't mean anything profane. Just making a point. I apologize, Mark.

Just opened my drawer, the tin-foil hat is still there.

Closed the drawer, not time to wear the hat just yet.

It was kinda a joke, I saw three threads that all talked about HF, and they were all closed... That is a standard tactic on HF Move a thread to OT, and if that doesn't stop the people from talking, they close it!

I enjoy the interaction of forums, I come here, and three or four other places to get my heli talk on...

Seems to me the traffic on all the sites I haunt, has really slowed down... But maybe it's just me?

I'm not buying the server hardware failure. That is such a 20 year old excuse. So many (and some free) technologies to provide application availability and protect from hardware SPOF.

Well it's a hobby website, I don't exactly think anyone is getting rich off it. It's easy to become spoiled and expect the typical HA we see every where else. I suspect they just may not have the $$ for quality hosting services, or even for a qualified professional to work on it.

I know it's frustrating but keep in mind it's not a paid service.

I think you're right, Trexwilly. Seen it too. Not sure what to make of it. My normal forums are all at a crawl. Nobody at it like usual. I have a new kit to build, a souped up engine to install and a major upgrade project in the worx. No real traffic to drag in. Kind of a bummer. Maybe one to sell. Maybe the cold weather we've had slowing things down.

I had mentioned that the forum was slowing down in the gasser section... but yeah, I have noticed its pretty much everywhere.
could it be that the market has slowed down overall, which is why so many stores closed...

I mean prices have dropped for Lipos, kit prices are low, there are all sorts of choices for electronics...

maybe the market is saturated and there is a "correction" in play?

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I agree. Saturated is the very word I was using to relay to someone last week. The adjustment continues. My favorite mail order shop has ONE kit. Stocking parts for their popular models, but sales have slowed to an all time low for them.

Yes I agree we had a huge buff on people 2010-2013, I don't know the numbers, but that seemed to be the "hay days"

I remember back then you would post something on the main, and if it got no replies, it would be off the bottom of the first page before the end of the day. If it was a weekend before that!

Could be a cycle, I've been a member for 13 years and I've "disappeared" for periods of time, lost interest in the hobby and back.
