Hello

I have a Talon 35 on my 450 pro but I can't get any different headspeeds on my idle 1 and 2.

How do I setup this thing.100% full trottle gives me not ful headspeed.

Thanks

1. Program it so the throttle mode is fixed endpoint mode,
2. Perform the transmitter to ESC throttle calibration procedure.

If you're using it with factory defaults, you are using the "auto calibrate" throttle mode -- after you plug in the battery, you are supposed to arm the ESC then go to full throttle for at least two seconds. Not a helicopter friendly mode.

After you set the throttle mode to fixed endpoints, and after you calibrate your transmitter throttle to the ESC, you can then go use one of the governor modes, if you wish.

Also, once you perform the two steps above, you can then set your Idle up 1 and 2 throttle curves to achieve the headspeed you're looking for.

After you set the fixed endpoint throttle mode, here is how you calibrate TX to ESC:

Are you using the set RPM governor mode by any chance?

Oke

Tne problem is not over.I did the setup like the one in the video.

I have 3 settings on idle but it seems that my headspeed is much lower than I had with the align controller.

At 100% trottle I have low headspeed.

Guys help me.

1. Are you using a Governor mode, or are you using the Helicopter, Fixed endpoint throttle setting?

2. What do your Normal, Idle up 1, and Idle up 2 throttle curves look like in your transmitter?

3. What is the Current Limit setting in the Talon set to? It should be set to INSENSITIVE.

Hey

I have normal mode 60%,Idle 1 80% Idle 2 100%

I did the setup like in the video, with adjusting the endpoints untill you hear a beep,so that the controller knows where the maximun endpoints are with a exponential trottle curve.

In the software I use governer mode.

I will post some printscreens maybe with my settings.

I do have 3 different headspeeds and I hear the difference, but much to low, with that settings.

I'am using the set RPM governor mode also.

From RR user PCTOMLIN on another post awhile ago, for a fellow with a similar problem:
Sounds like you are in Set RPM governor mode.

Normal mode uses an ESC setting of 30% across the throttle curve, head speed is set by the top window at the lower right of the Castle Link software.

The middle window sets IU1, throttle curve set to 70% across the points, IU2 is 100% throttle curve across the points, RPM set in the window.

When you click on the info button it shows you the actual ESC output to the motor, you don't want to be below 75% on ESC output and 95% for IU2 for governor head room.

Once you have parameters set you must update the ESC to save them in the controller.

Just for fun, dump the governor mode. Use the heli fixed endpoint throttle mode.

Set your idle up 1 throttle curve to a flat line at 85% and your idle up 2 curve to a flat line at 100%.

See what kind of RPM you get out of the ESC in this mode. If this is all fine, then there's something going on with your governor setup.

Just wondering if that was throwing off the head speeds...

Make sure the amount of poles is set correctly. If this is wrong, you will not get full throttle, even if your ESC endpoints and gov have been setup correctly.
