" No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States.

Every step by which they have advanced to the character of a independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.

It would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act
my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the Universe, who presides in the council of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that HIS benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes.

from their - they walked down a street called Wall to a small old steeple called St. Paul's Chapel : To Consecrate under the Testimony

Worthy of Honor and Glory isn't it !

Interesting, he made the speech about God and not himself or what the government should do under his authority. Foreign concept and highly Unamerican in these times.

St Paul's Chapel is the Small church surrounded by 911 wreckage covered in soot and dust - still acting as a refuge as the ashes fell.

Look up few of the pic's .

It was active all through - for the 1st reponder's and the citizen.
