I am really interested in this radio but have no interest in more than one radio for the things I fly. Has there been any mention of incorporating DSM2 (is the hardware capable?) for use with planes or BNF models? That would push me over to purchase and I can't imagine I'm alone.

Hello,

It is highly unlikely this will ever happen. Spektrum doesn't want to share their protocols, just like Futaba, JR, Graupner, VBar Control, etc.

You will see the VBC support airplanes in the near future, but for the DSM2 BNF items most people keep an old transmitter around.

I got my old dx7 dsm2 TX here , perfect for hack and smack of the BNF stuff.

I wouldn't want to bring out the expensive VBC for that anyways.

Thought about selling it a while back (before changing to futaba) but it would be worth $100 tops , for that i'll keep it for the bind and crash stuff
