try try
i would have to try a wr step down and see if it happens my guess is it will not using this product. not that the one you are using is a poor product but it seems things need a change to be sure. cheap try in my opinion.

So I helped a friend yesterday with his Raptor 30,he was convinced he wanted to run his rudder servo ds 655 under 6 volts,so he put on one of the step downs the PS-01,first flight he was just hovering around some mild 3d,the second flight he was about to take of as he came into the hover the tail was swinging really bad back and fourth, landed quickly and cut the throttle,as I went up to the heli the rudder servo was swinging like made back and fourth, never seen anything like it,picked up the heli and walked to the bench,as we put the heli down the rudder servo was dead no movement, thats what happened to me the servo went dead,he was also using it with a 6.6v life battery never had a problem before, took off the step down and away he went no problems, what is up with those Futaba PS-01 step downs

I would not be surprised if the signal somehow times out on the bench
or perhaps the connectors are suspect.

get rid of the step down you don't need it, it is a failure point, it is a risk.

I now that now,but its a really expensive one and thought it would be reliable, today we tried the cheap Align one 5.1v step down, was under the impression it would drop the voltage by 0.7 at least, with a 6.6v life battery I put on a really good meter, the voltage came out at 6.3 volts,in theory I was expecting 5.8v or so,this one is needed as there is a 9254 on the tail.

either sell it, trade it, or get a futaba servo that requires or keep it

those are your choices

if it malfunctions return it

spending time, paying attention
