"Basic" settings from someone else may not work with your installation due to linkage differences, servo differences, and heli differences.

If you install a FBL controller, read its manual and follow it. This will get you the basic settings you need, and a good starting point for fine tuning.

How you set it up depends on many things.
Among them are:
– The gyro you are using.
– The ESC you are using.
– If you use gov or v-type throttle curves.
– Your pilot preferences and skills.

Different gyros are handled totally different by
the radio. For 3GX you set up radio like flybar,
for Vbar you set up radio for flybarless, just
as examples of how radio setup depends on equipment.

If you specify what you have, you are likely to
get better help.

I going to take a stab here, you have a 550e, and if you're running it with stock equipment, you've got a 3GX (maybe a GPro), and the instructions that came with the kit.

If you own a pitch gauge, good. If you don't, get one. It doesn't have to be fancy or have lots of bells and whistles. but it needs to work with a flybarless machine.

Build the heli per the instructions. Set the FBL controller up per the instructions in the kit. The manual has some good suggested throttle and pitch curves that will take you a long long way.

Go through this setup a time or two, understand what you're doing, and you'll never have to ask to borrow a cup of settings again.

If you get stumped in the process, ask for help.

HI
I have both the Dx7s and the 550 (L) which is an electric and close to yours....

This is a very tough thing to answer becuase it is SOO different for each and every person...

but here is what I do...

1st. Set the heli up as per your instructions...Now I have the GPro on my 550 (I have the Beastx on my 450 and do it the same way)..

I set my initial Pitch curve up to be -12 at low stick, 0 at mid stick and +12 at high stick.) make sure your swash is LEVEL at each point meaning low, center and high stick this way your range or swash travel is consistent)

Then for setting the cyclic pitch... GPro wants 8 degrees and Beastx wants 6 degress at center stick. Make it so.

Now, I like to fly as if I were flying a scale Heli....and so my next setps will be different for you than mine...however the technique will be the same...meaning if you want to fly 3D then your pitch curve will be different than mine....so you need to adjust to your likeling....

I set my Pitch Curve in my radio to -2 at low stick, +3 at mid stick and +8 at high stick...
I do this for both my pitch curves.

For my throttle curves I use either my Governeer mode on my Castle ESC or:
HOLD IS ALWAYS 0-0-0-0-0
Normal 0-65-65-65-65 or you can use 0-75-75-75-75
Stunt 75-75-75-75-75 or if you use the 2nd set above I would then use 85-85-85-85-85

Reason being is you want to take off and land in normal mode hence the 1st 0 but in stunt mode you want to fly so no need to have a 0 in the beginning....

This works really well FOR ME
You may change things to your preference....
Also this allows me to change throttle curves to adjust to needs weather conditions for the day.....
