I am getting a 800 mm boom conversion kit. I will probably run 750 to 780 blades. What head speed would you run? Would you run 115 mm tail blades? Has anyone run these blades?
Thank you Leon.

I ran the 800 boom conversion on my Whiplash with 800mm blades and 115 on the tail until a loose V-bar sensor wire wiped out the boom and torque tube.

With the larger blades I tried to keep the head speed under 1,800 just to be safe. I liked the way it flew and the big presence in the air.

I'd like to go back to the 800 size again. Where did you find the conversion?

Thank you for the response. It came with a used Whiplash air frame i bought for spare parts. I have two Ex air frames. One is my every day flyer, the other was a spare, but will be an 800 now. I will measure the boom, torque tube and tail push rod and try to find a workable replacements. I can post the measurements when i get the parts if you like.
