Hi,

I'm working on an electric conversion of a Robbe Bell UH 1D and I needed to fit a new belt.

What is the easiest way to change the belt on a Futura mechanics? I tried to remove the tail drive pulley housing and then push the S4115 axis upward through the 42T wheel (after removing the lock ring). However, the axis was stuck in the alu wheel so I ended up taking the whole mechanics apart.

Is it possible to push the timing wheel axis (S4115) through the upper bearing while the feather key (s4117) still is in place?

Thanks in advance,

Tobias

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure you can as there is a step in the shaft and the top bearing is much bigger than the lower one. They can be a bit of a pain sometimes. I've also had the pull the whole heli down to get one out before.
